WTF! What do you mean the 2021 Lions tour was a non-event?! it was the best Lions series I've ever seen. The way the Boks pissed blood and scrapped for every inch to achieve victory was even more impressive than their world cup wins.

What he means is it was a non event because THEIR WHERE NO FANS ALLOWED BECAUSE OF COVID So very little money was generated and their was no atmosphere at the matches The whole tour /series felt flat Even though the standard of actual rugby was very high

I'd love to see Campo given the keys to a quasi-Barbarians club side in Australia to encourage some experimentation in developing an alternative game plan centred around running rugby and unstructured attack. I'm sceptical as to whether Campo's style of attacking rugby would have the same impact today given the fitness and defensive structures of modern players and teams, but I'd be very, very happy to see him prove me and others wrong.

Bangs on about needing an Australian coach to coach Australians while ignoring the fact that the team now has a huge Polynesian influence that's more likely to reject such a coach. That Schmidt isn't qualified because he hasn't won anything, or more specifically a RWC. At first I thought these two things only left Dwyer and Macqueen as possible Wallaby coach candidates, till I realised Campo is upset he wasn't offered the job!

I think Campo is wrong that a coach MUST come from the country they are coaching, but would players with Polynesian heritage, who are born and/or raised in Australia and choosing to represent Australia, really 'reject' a coach because they are Australian?

Why would the poly boys reject him? If anything is to go by, listen to past Wallabies talk about Campo. They call him a pansy

@2111bigad the point being made is an Australian Coach understands the "Australian" psyche, I question that to be relevant for Polynesian players. If anything a kiwi coach, being that NZ is the capital of Polynesian culture, would be more attuned.

As a kiwi,oz getting NZ coaches is not the answer.OZ may need to look north, and eventually so will we. I have never seen NZ rugby, and to a lesser extent,oz,this weak.

Didn't you do the same interview last year. The same nonsense about how his early 1990s backline would easily beat a current backline. Ridiculous.

Since Oz rugby mistreated Folau for taking a principled stand, the decline has been clearly seen. Year by year weaker and weaker. What u sow u reap mate… no sympathy for woke decisions. Oz will never again be a force…
