OMG Jordan! You exposed Seattle’s wired little not so secret attitude about snow! I’m sorry you didn’t get in to see Bruce and Brandon’s graves.you are so right Seattle freaks out over a dusting of snow! It’s always been a joke over here! Lol! The bridge the troll is underis the Aurora Bridge! Thanks for another fabulous Vlog ❤️
@TheCoasterLisa

Angela Mata We didn’t get a dusting here in the Seattle and metro areas. We got over a foot from the three recent snowfalls. The hills make it impossible to navigate in the slippery snow. Also, people here aren’t accustomed to getting snow so many don’t have snow tires or chains and know how to handle driving in conditions. We also don’t have many snow plows or rock salt. Whereas, in places that do get a lot of snow every winter, those cities and towns are equipped to handle it. If we got it more often, we would be better prepared and more experienced in handling the off roads.

I listened to my favorite author on you tube the other day and she mentioned the snow fall and how Seattle totally shuts down so I wondered how that would affect you. Lenin statue I believe was rescued from a salvage yard in Russia , The unnamed face is Jacques Cousteau, Calypso was built in a old shipyard in Fremont. The Rocket was on the corner of 2nd and Bell in Seattle, for years it was the sign for a military surplus store. There is a real VW Bug under the Trolls hand, and you missed the JP Patches statue 2 blocks (N 34th and Fremont N) from the Troll. kzitem.info/news/bejne/uq2Nz2mkjJ6heIo. Sorry about Mile's and Lake View, 3-6" of snow around here can bring Seattle to a stop.

Mike's Tavern Chili parlor was featured in a big movie! Filmed right there in Fremont and starring Gene Hackman, Ann-Margret, and Ellen Burstyn. I remember driving past it on one of the shooting days. They had the whole building covered with black plastic - "to control the lighting," they said. And as I went past, Gene Hackman walked out of the building and got into a waiting limousine. It was a pretty big deal there in Ballard!

One of my favorite movies! The Troll is a big draw for the area. But Seattle has a huge homeless problem. Huge. You can't even drive down the freeway without seeing tents and tarps everywhere. It's very sad. On the food issue. I've done the same thing. I've read about a place that some show has gone to and gave it raves and then got there and the food was terrible and the service really bad. You should ask a local where the good food is! Ya haven't hit Pike Place yet and there are some good food places there. Dick's Drive In is the place to go. It's on Capitol Hill and it's cash only, but everyone knows that the place for a burger! I'm glad you got around this much before the "Snowmageddon " hit, a day or so later. We have 14 inches of snow and just now digging out of the driveway! Please come back in the summer. It's beautiful and maybe you can go see the water and get to go back to the cemetery. === And a side note. I loved watching you and Breck last night at David's house. wow, it's just creepy thinking about that it's just right there next to the Sharon Tate murders. I noticed when you guys went down stairs to put the dogs back in the one bedroom. The last dog stopped and as you all were trying to talk it into that room, the dog was looking at the bedroom door on the other side, like she was hearing something. I get a little freaked out around stuff like this. I won't watch ghost shows on tv or on line either. I tried watching one once and the power lines on my house caught fire. We had the fire department out here and the power company. They re-attached the wires, but couldn't give an explanation. I've learned not to "play" with the unknown... Great podcasts of Seattle. I'm sorry your stay got cut short by the snow, but do come back. Awesome week of podcasts!

Nice vlog and I really loved seeing Seattle that intimate for the first time. I had to laugh and I said, "yep, you are a child of the 90s." To not know who Jacques Cousteau is, shows how time has moved on. Another humorous thing (for me anyway) was this; homeless people, statue of Lenin and Seattle socialism. Yep it all seems to fit like you think it would. Thanks Jordan, your adventures are great fun to tag along on.

Hi Jordan, yep, 'Harry & the Hendersons' was a great film and it was great to see the house. Oh, I loved the Fremont Troll, I thought that was brilliant what they had done there. Didn't know Melinda Dillon was in Harry and the Hendersons. I might have to watch it now. I love your vlogs, Jordan, you are upbeat so I will try to stay upbeat, but I got to say a statue of Lenin is a shameful stain on Seattle's name. I know you aren't endorsing it or anything but I've got to mention having a statue of a man whose ideas and reign led to the deaths of millions is galling. Sorry, otherwise it was a very, very cool vlog as usual.

I’m sure that goofy old man mural has some sort of meaning to Seattle but you’d think they’d have something marking who he is and what he did. Thanks for the honest review of the chili place. I’m sure if the manager had any idea that that waiter was as bad as he was to a guy who was going to be seen by thousands of people he would probably be fired. To forget such a simple order and then not even bring silverware or a napkin. That guy needs to find a new job
