Thanks! It works like a top every time. Good engineering me thinks. :-)

Also, would this be a lot less work if you just hooked the bow side of the gin pole to a separate winch and pulled it up that way, instead of undoing and redoing the main sheet lines?

I have a 2015 32RK and I bought the mast raising kit for this boat but my kit came with a set of pulleys that I assume are used instead of the mainsheet system as you demonstrate. When I purchased the boat, there was a mast raising video for the type of system I purchased. The video doesn't seem to be available on KZitem anymore. Do you know how I could get a copy of this (is there any support info for Seaward now)?

This is the original video that was produced by hake slash SeaWorld yachts. This is not my video. I also have the same mass tracing system you do with a block and tackle system and its own line. I was not aware that there is a video besides the one of me raising my Mast using that particular system. I certainly like mine a lot better than using the main sheet anyway.

Where is your 2015 RK at?

I’d like to know what the system at the base of the mast is called? A block? That pin makes for a great pivot point to raise the mast

It is a block and tackle system that raises the mast

Is this just for Seaward sailboats?

Yes. Specifically the 32RK.

That looked to me as if someone forgot to instate the backstay.

I think that pulley system from the main was used instead of the forstay
