Seaweed is one of the marine plants that belongs to the benthic macroalgae that live a lot attached to the bottom of the water. Generally, seaweed can be found a lot in interdal areas or brackish waters with sufficient sunlight. Seaweed is an algae that lives in the sea and belongs to the thallophyta division. Seaweed is a low-level plant, because seaweed has indistinguishable properties between roots, stems, and leaves. All parts of seaweed are called thallus, where the shape of seaweed thallus varies, some are round such as tubes, flat, flat, round, and so on. Seaweed obtains or absorbs its food through the cells found in the thallus. Nutrients will be carried away by the water currents that hit the seaweed and then will be absorbed, so that seaweed can grow and multiply.
