As countries try to meet their Net Zero targets, there's been a push to cut emissions from the agriculture industry.
Agriculture and related land use accounts for around 12% of global emissions.
Around 14 per cent of the world's greenhouse gas emissions come from livestock, the majority in the form of methane from animals like cows and sheep.
Australia is the 11th largest emitter of methane - and last year signed a global pledge to collectively reduce methane emissions by 30% by 2030 - signalling the urgency for scientists to develop a methane mitigation solution.
