Do you find the generic (i.e. EnviroCare) bags to be safe to use with an X4 Automatic? They're a fraction of the cost of the name brand bags and although I just purchased this vacuum, I'm really not a fan for the money. It came with a 10 year warranty so I should be covered I would think ? I appreciate your feedback.

I’ve had my X5 for, I don’t know, 15 years or so and it’s the most reliable machine I’ve ever purchased. No cheap flimsy parts anywhere. Admittedly, it’s used in a residential application but love to use a machine that doesn’t fail in some aspect.

On the subject of airflow, I actually made a discovery on my X7 Premium that I just bought a couple weeks ago. I was wondering how to seal up that little air leak that you're talking about when I just took the hose out of the extension wand and then it hit me. The wand and the hose have the same size opening. With it on, it fits like it was made for it. I didn't notice a LARGE difference, but I could tell something was there. Hopefully someone can do a legit air flow test with the wand on and off in the future.

Man your editing is freaking awesome and video quality overall! and I thought I did well on my latest vid xD BTW when the hose and wand are on the vacuum, the hose seals into the wand nicely, but when the hose is locked in the wand for wand use it leaks :/ dunno why

Why thank you! I really appreciate that! From the few Sebo/Windsor vacuums I've owned, I've noticed they still leak when the wand is plugged into the base (just a little, but they all did the exact same thing). Small pet peeve, but overall it's a nice machine!

Yupp, keep up the great work! Oh yeah mine too, I have the X4 pet boost from new and whilst it isn't sealed, it's much nicer than when the hose is beng used with the wand lol but still I wish it was a sealed system Apparently the felix does it too when you put your hand around where the hose plugs into the base

@@parwaz7861 I see! I didn't notice the same leakage on my Felix. It seems to have more suction and airflow at the base. Paired with a manual height adjustment, it's an excellent carpet cleaner! @@VacTech1 I deffo agree, the Felix is an awesome deep cleaner, I must admit I was kinda disappointed when I first got it because the agitation didn't match my Dyson DC55 ball but I accepted that it's more of a pile separation and capet brushing vac (like a Dc07) than the type of vac that is supposed to vibrate the carpet, so I forced myself to use it on lower settings and I'm happier with it
@VacTech1

@@parwaz7861 I have a couple of the US equivalent Dyson uprights, and I do love how they vibrate the carpeting. I wish those Dyson cleaner heads had two rows of brushes instead of one, but they're still among Dyson's best carpet cleaners, and clean surprisingly well.

I love Sebo but, yes, I agree with your review of this style machine. To be fair, no vacuum cleaner is perfect. I do tend to lean a little more towards the Felix model. I like the unique design of it and how you can shut the brush off for floors. I like how it can be used for carpets, rugs, furniture and floors. That hose on the side is a must for quick pickups.

@VacTech1

@@mattjones7621 I think the Miele U1 upright cleans carpeting better than most Sebo uprights (the Felix would be the closest match), and I prefer the Miele U1's tools to any Sebo upright. @@VacTech1 - Thank you for an informative video and your comment responses. I've had a Miele U1 S7210 for 13 years, with 2600 sq ft of carpeting and 900 sq ft. hard floor. It has been pretty solid - only a couple plastic pieces on the bag-door lock that broke. Recently had to replace the 13 year old belt, which had an incredible long-life IMO. I am sorry that Miele has discontinued them. I'd buy a Sebo X4 or X5 if I could shut off the brush for my hard floors. I like the Felix in principle, but it seems that it would lose a lot of suction power as the bag got over half full. And the Felix smaller bags would fill up more quickly in my large home.

Squeeze the sides of the green bag holder and it will come right off. Had mine for ten years and the replacement rollers are like thirty bucks to replace,the forty foot cord is wonderful and the cord material is whole lot better than say the shark I also have. The only reason I like the shark is I can’t help but be mesmerized seeing the amount of dirt in the transparent bin!

The maid at where I work uses a Windsor Sensor XP15 which is the equivalent to this. Great unit, but has a lot of mileage on it. I prefer the Workhorse, but the Sebo is a great vac too. The Sebo is very easy to use and maintain, and made to last years. As far as which cleans carpeting better. I would probably say the Workhorse. This model Sebo doesnt have much airflow or suction at the floor (by design). I think Sebo's canisters or the Felix would clean better, but not this Automatic X5.

It feels good to use, but there isn’t a point in having it since it clogs so easily. I’ve had it for 6 mo and have no idea how long the clog has been there. I also like how the boost function lets the brush roll lower a lot more to dig deep. The U1 doesn’t feel like it digs very deep at all, so hopefully the X4 Boost will solve the problems of the U1.
