Definitely a 70’s house. There’s no mistaking the avocado green, harvest gold, and rust colors of the era. It takes me back in time. Also that paneling was incredibly popular then. Those big console tvs were incredibly heavy to move too. I have some Model A parts around my place in an old dump pile. Hood panels, running boards, and fenders. My house is from 1915.

Spent my first honeymoon in a sweet big one room cabin with a blanket hanging from the ceiling to separate the bedroom from remainder of living space. That was in Quebec Canada , June 1971😊 Uncle Charlie's cabin was only accessible by boat also! All big supplies and heavy items came onto property in winter when lake solidly frozen! No inside plumbing; but oh what a gorgeous "once in a lifetime" visit!! Lake water was crystal clear; and the buried barrels with ice cold water kept our food and drinks safe to use. Thanks so much Noah for this great explore! A shame no one kept it cleaned up and repaired!! Loved the layout of both big and small homes!! But especially the front and back porches. and gorgeous views❤ Be safe and in good health both of you!!❤

The was family get-together estate, built in the 1920s. The natural state fireplace is what gave away. The family was extremely well-to-do. The Zenith TV and turntable have wood boxing, characterized in the 1960s. That Zenith apparatus is 1965. Further generations of the family brought more junk in but didn't take anything out. The dock has been swallowed up by the plants. So have the boats and cars! As that bulldozer, for example, is a CAT D-2. Those puppies aren't cheap! $15,000. No wonder Century 21 couldn't sell this property. It's a junkyard!

That had to be so much fun to explore. Some parts of the big house looked pretty old. Loved those windows and the woodwork/newel post/fireplace. Lost count of the different kinds of paneling. I think it might have been holding the house together. There was a lot of stuff. Wonder if a family owned for more than one generation. And if it was once joined to land. And Brandon’s boat did the trick. Enjoy seeing y’all exploring together. Thanks so much for sharing. Stay safe. ❤️

Hi Noah WOW what a cool find. This place is pretty decayed. It must be sitting there for at least 30 years. I liked that cool porch in the front. It would have been better if they had enclosed it and made a sunroom out of it. I liked the guest house too. I wonder what angry animal was that you pissed off Noah, I heard it hissing. Scary. I wonder how they got those cars there. 30 years ago there was probably a road to get there. All those belongings, the furniture and TV’s were probably brought there by ferry. The water looked a little shallow were you guy’s docked your boat bit 30 years ago things might have been different. This was a cool island video. Thanks for letting us tag along. Until next time, Noah stay safe and well. I love your friends boat.🚣🐟

Definitely a cool Island. Back 30-40 years ago a Resort would most likely buy a place like this, but there's not much money in full high-end Resorts nowadays. Water levels are lower nowadays, so if there was or going to be a road there would be one now.

I'm guessing it was built in the 70's, just judging by the woodwork, the color schemes, the wood paneling and the stereo set up. That stereo tv combo is very early 70s. It's almost mid century, but not quite. It would have been lovely when it was new. Just that front porch alone! I'd live on that. By the way, that was a vulture hissing at you. They do that when they feel threatened.

That boat looked like a raft that you were on. I would be scared to go on it. I wonder what lake it's on? Nice scenery but the cottage itself is very home made carpentry and rough looking. The other boat in the bush looks 1980's or earlier. Nice explore. For the summertime i enjoy seeing things on a lake like marinas or cottages. Maybe you could do more of it for the summertime/fall. The cottage looks like it's going to fall down any second lol. That old record player my parents had one with a built in atrack player . Nice to see

Yeah but no guarantee you'll have enough ice every year in allot of places. If you can't DIY major repairs then your ride might be stuck out there unless you wait till winter and use something else to pull it over the ice so you can get it to a shop. Or I guess just embrace the shitbox life and learn to rebuild automatic transmissions and weld new sub frame and unibody patches.

@@existinginaspace8347 I'm in the province beside the one that this place is. There's always enough ice in winter 😂 plenty of it. Watch the show Ice Road Truckers and you'll see there's enough ice out here in winter. Also, fly stuff in. There are many communities in Canada that are only accessible via fly in or winter road. It's manageable, not convenient or cheap.

But that main house wow with that thing a mess nothing ain't going to be standing too much longer but anyway you guys got some real balls to walk up those stairs holy cow they did not look safe I'm surprised you even went up there that whole upstairs looks pretty shady but appreciate you risking it for us thanks for all the hard work and walking through all that high brush and probably bug central too see on the next explore.

You can thank your big government for the property being abandoned. The house could only be grandfathered down to family or sold to be demolished. It would cost twice the land value to demolish now because of canadas environmental laws. The land is highly valuable yet practically worthless at the same time.
