If you put this list in your video description, it will automatically add "chapter" markers to your video timeline. Well done, by the way. We seem to have similar goals of providing raw, natural film as if the hiker was there in our shoes.

One of the best hiking videos on KZitem! Thank you for your time and effort to produce such an amazing video. It's unbelievable how you could capture such a steady video on a rocky path. Some of the hiking videos out there make you dizzy because they keep switching camera angles every minute. It's a great video for treadmill meditation or mind wandering.

I really enjoyed this. Thanks so much for posting it. There are a lot of hikes out there being posted that have been condensed down to 5 or 10 minutes. 5 or10 minutes just doesn't do justice to a hike like this, so it was nice to see the full hike. Haven't been to Yosemite in 40 years or so. This brought back a lot of great memories. Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the hike with you. I did that hike probably over 30 years ago - in my younger years. I am 71 now. I moved to Washington State to be close to my grandchildren. Yosemite has always been a favorite for me. I have been up Half Dome twice - the last time for my 50th birthday. Now after 2 hip replacements i still am hiking but not quite up to my old abilities and too far away to easily get to Yosemite. I snowshoed this morning for 3 miles and then walked this trail with you on my mini trampoline - not uphill like you but at least for some of the mileage ;-) Well done, and I love the scenery. Washington has beauty but not the sheer granite that makes up the walls of Yosemite. I have done that hike years ago to the top of the Falls but went no further. Lovely pools above - but maybe not so secret anymore. Thank you. Will do more of your hikes when it is rainy and the snow is slushy here.

WOW thanks for the support and i'm glad you enjoyed the video. These videos are made for people like you. Yosemite is my favorite park and every time i visit, i wish i had more time to explore. I wasn't able to win the Half Dome lottery this past year but hoping to win it next this year and upload a video, so stay tuned for that. Enjoy Washington! it's very beautiful out there and lots of amazing parks too! Cheers and always Keep Moving!

First virtual walk I've watched of yours. I love it. I like videos with ambient sounds, no music, and a minimum of talking. Another thing I love is continuity. I don't mind if a hiker stops and rests and turns off the camera, but I hate it when they stop every two seconds and then when the video resumes they are somewhere else. The latter spoils the feeling that the viewer is there hiking with you. This is a beautiful and interesting hike, and I had the satisfaction of turning every corner with you and wondering what was ahead. Great job!

Gosh I miss this trail. One of the very first physically demanding trails Ive ever hiked, the elevation climb, myriad of exposed switch backs were a killer, especially during the summer. Getting up to the top was like a whole another world, absolutely stunning overlook of the valley. I remember the day I hiked this trail, pieces of the mountain broke off after a thundering sound. Cant wait to revisit this pool

Hey Steven, this hike is no joke. A lot of trails at Yosemite are physically demanding but way worth it once you make it to the top. I was sweating the whole time up but got to enjoy the pool at the end and cool off. Hope you get to visit Yosemite soon. My plan next time is to continue hiking up to El Capitan and North Dome

I barely do cardio because I abhorre the stationary machines and my country is too unsafe to actually go out like this. I just came back from a road trip through a couple of California's national parks, including Yosemite, and I fell in love with the place. Maybe with this video, I'll get in better shape for when I go back.

@@KeepMovingHikingChannel, Yes I guided people on horses and mules in Yosemite, and packed supplies to the high camps, Sunrise high camp was my favorite packing run, when I was guiding I did the 4 mile trail to the top of glacier point many times as well as Half dome, we would stop at quarter dome and let the people hike the rest of the way to the top, I also guided from Tuolumne meadows stables to Lyle canyon and to many other places in Yosemite via the many trails there. I guided and packed Yosemite trails for 10 seasons.. I was also going to say that you are a beast of a hiker! with a few short rests to enjoy the views, good job!

In Yosemite there’s a really nice primitive campground, Tamarack, that has a off trail hike to a place the rangers names Devils Danceground. The views are amazing. The original road into the valley is along a trail out of the campground and it links up with the trail taking you to the top of El Capitan. Don’t know if you want to do multi day backpacking, but in Kings Canyon, at the end of Roads End you can access the Kings Canyon loop. This will take you up to the JMT/PCT past Raes Lakes, over Glens Pass and then back down to the start. This has some of the most amazing scenery I’ve ever seen. I’m sure in that area there are many options for day hikes as well.

@@KeepMovingHikingChannel it must have been really tiring to use the hand grip. I bought a harness but the footage comes out way too shaky. Also, the gopro hero8 comes with built-in stabilization features so I'm sure that really helped. Thanks for sharing this video!

@@hugomunoz5668 i don't mind using the hand grip. I have a chest mount that works too. They sell gimbals that help with stabilizing but i found they cause too much noise interference with the gopro (maybe because the hero8 has it's own built in stabilization)

@KeepMovingHikingChannel

At 1:39:45 the trail splits. You go right to the waterfall or continue straight to Yosemite Point. I forgot to record leaving the waterfall and continuing up so there is a 5 minute jump in the hike. At the trail split, you’re at 6500ft (1981 m). Yosemite point is about a mile (1.6 km) more and an additional 500ft (150 m) of elevation gain.
