My parents said, "Ok, we'll buy you those drums, but you're gonna take lessons & learn how to read music like a real musician." I did, and I was SO far ahead of the curve as I branched into keyboards, flute, sax, guitar...anything I wanted to pick up & learn well enough to help me make a living. JUST focusing or READING rhythm, at first, is REALLY worth your focus for awhile..whatever you play & wherever you are on the skill curve. ..Just sayin' ...Thanks for your time.
