I also had a "jumpy" bed but even after ensuring that the eccentric nuts were properly aligned, I was still getting bumps as the build plate moved across the Y-axis. First I inspected the Y-axis rail, that checked out. Next I looked at the four wheels connecting to the Y-axis rails and found my problem! One of the wheels had been mis-manufactured and had a large flat spot where it should have been rounded. Changing out the wheel resolved the issue. It just goes to show how important it is to really inspect all of the components of the printer (Ender 3v2 in my case) during the initial assembly.

1:32 - I don't think those are dusts, it's probably the V-wheel plastic being shaved off as being traversed in time. Probably use polycarbonate wheels.

I just bought a new Ender 3 S1 and it was delivered with super loose eccentric cam nuts. Your video isn't exactly applicable to my model but sufficient to solve my problem. Take some satisfaction in knowing that something you shared over 2 years ago is helping people. I am not a novice 3D printer user but this was the first time I had to deal with this specific issue. Overall my satisfaction with my new $400 printer is not outstanding.

Perfect info.. had my V2 for about a week, and while removing the glass plate noticed movement in the bed.. None of the set up videos I watched ever mentioned checking these wheels... Mine were very loose allowing the bed to move side to side and vertically..

The wheels attrac dust due to static charge. Rubber moving back and forth on a non-grounded metal slowly is generating electro-static charge. Nothing to worry about, the same happens to your TV-screen. Air humidity play a role here too. I live in a very dry apartment and get more of this dust than when the printer was in the humid basement

Two years later - nothing to do with static. Delrin is known for electrical insulation (these wheels would last a week if they were rubber) the dust is the reason the bed is loose, it's delrin which has been worn off the wheels because the wheels were TOO tight.

Interesting, so is it really dusts? Wouldn't this dust accumulation further deteriorate both the wheels and aluminum extrusion's guide rails? Does grounding really help reduce the dust static collection?

Got mine working thanks to your video but I took the heat bed off to adust the eccentric nuts underneath, made it way easier - printing my first print now, the xyz cube that came on the included SD card. Take your time and especially with bed levelling, go around 4 or 5 times till its perfect. I had an 0.11mm variation on auto level. Thanks for the video:)

My ender came new with one of the wheels on the bed loose after months of printing and hearing it rattle whenever the y axis moves quickly, I found this video adjusted the nuts and now the printer is virtually silent 😎 thanks for the info!

I'm struggling to find any info on this, how tight exactly should the nuts be that connect the Y Carriage to the wheels? Not the eccentric but the threaded nut that connects the plate to the wheels.
@ColinM9991

For those interested. I loosened all wheel nuts (not the eccentric) and tightened until just snug. This seems to have done the trick with any warping between opposite corners. The eccentric nuts, as the video describes, I tightened until the wheel can be moved by hand and no more wobble exists.

Hello I'm new I notice no matter how much adjustments and tutorials I've followed the right side corners of my bed leveling is raised kinda above. Is this because of its bolt not tighten??

Hello there. Do you have any thoughts / experience with metal wheels rolling on polished rod? Some newer 3D printer some with those instead of plastic V slot wheels. Do you think that the same principle still applies - not so tight that you cannot spin in without moviing the gantry?

I'm very confused. A twist and a turn and the problem is fixed but on my printer no matter how much i tighten or loosen it still continues to be wobbly. The wheels aren't deformed, there's no dust or debris but continues to wobble. Is it that much different with the ender extender?
@monkeydestruct

I just upgraded with an 400x400 ender extender kit and am having some difficulty too. It gets so close but doesn't eliminate the wobble completely.

The main part of that "dust" on those wheels is not dust btw. I had that "dust" exactly on the right and left wheel on front while the back ones stayed clean all time. Then I adjusted the eccentric nut of the front 2 wheels (right and left) and the "rubber dust" is gone ;) - Dust may make a part of it but most of it is just rubber from the wheels

Mate can you help me. My print was fine. I printed 20 boxes. Then one box squished half way up. Now every box I do is super squished like some one stood on it when it was wet. I've tried everything now. Z axis works fine when manually controlled via LCD screen. Everything is where it is supposed to be. Bed is leveled. Z axis is stright, screws are in place correct. I just don't know what it won't rise when printing. If you or anyone could help that would be perfect. Thanks
