A union is how they use to describe people who got married... Those two joined a union for life... If you view the union as such that would make abe Lincoln a wife beater because he fought with the ones trying to leave the union

What happened to the conversations of Tariffs, Nullification and States Rights? Slavery was a footnote to these in the run up to the Civil War. D- for honesty.
@bleedingkansai9961

Slavery was the central issue regarding all of that. The pro-slave politicians said so themselves- John C. Calhoun, Stephen Douglas, John C. Breckinridge, Jefferson Davis, on and on.

The slavers kept murdering people, burning down newspapers, and kidnapping politicians. The underlining problem was the white supremacy Christianity practiced in the South.

If you are not paying close attention you will miss that all of the pro slave comments in this mans lecture are in the color red which is today's republican party color and all of the anti-slave comments are in blue which is today's democratic party- The Party Platform Switch is propaganda- This ended with Abraham Lincoln's name being meticulously printed in blue letters. LOL
