Securing passwords with MicroPython - how safe is your wifi password on a MicroPython device?
MicroPython code is stored as plaintext on your device, which means anyone that has your device can read your code - and wifi username and passwords.
The new Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect does have a secure crypto chip to solve this problem, but it isn't exposed to MicroPython, yet.
In this video I'll show you how to encode your secure keys and then hide them by compiling the code into an MPY file with mpy_cross.
