What did you guys think about this concept? Shorter summaries or deep-dives such as this one? A playlist that will help you in mastering Benjamin Graham’s art of Value Investing: bit.ly/2Txvxgd

Thank you so much for taking the time to create these amazing summaries. I am 1/4 of the way through the book, but your summary keeps me on track. Any chance you will cover trading options in the future? Again, thank you so much!

Yay! The last part! Your summary greatly helps me (since I still haven't read the book/ebook yet) on adjusting my mindset from accountant to investor point of view. And to be honest, reprogramming yourself to understand and to learn things that you only did mechanically before is a totally different story.

I'm happy to hear it Iresh Rie Dacian! 😁 Key Ratios and accounting in general is definitely prone to making the mistake that you talk about. Knowing how to calculated something doesn't necessarily mean that you understand the consequences from an investment perspective.

As a newbie, I didn't understand these 2 books(intelligent investor and security analysis), I was not aware of few finance terms, market conditions etc but I find it very helpful how you summarized these complicated books into few videos...Thank you 😊

Cheers Ayanata Chakraborty! Security Analysis definitely isn't a beginner-friendly book, it does assume that you have some experience before reading it, which Benjamin Graham also presents (in the preface, I think). I tried to make it a bit simpler, but it is always a difficult balance between different target audiences.

It's great, but could name it properly in the titles, like Part1, Part2 and so forth. Cause now it's a bit mess when I want to find a proper part, like "which one is that part, 3rd or 1st"?

Wow! American bonds are so complex! In Brazil you just pick between a bond that's fixed, one that changes based on some kind of varialbe indexador (usually governement's interest rate - 0,1 or inflation) or one that is indexador + fixed rate. Also some of them are insent from taxation. T-bills are a little more complex since you can liquidate them at any time wich causes mark-to-market.

Hi everyone, thank you (The Swedish Investor) so much for your videos. Can I ask you which edition of Security Analysis is the best? I have read that is the second edition, is true? Thanks.
@TheSwedishInvestor
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'd say go for the 2nd edition! That's what I've read from reviews at least, that the 1940 version is the one including the best examples. I have the 1940 version myself. I'd also recommend getting the physical copy, some of the tables and charts are of poor quality (resolution issues) in the Kindle version on Amazon.

with all respect, i think its not the explanation which is 'complicating'. the book itself already used 'high class' words tho.. swedish investor already simplifying those 'high class' words & making the content more understandable, at least for me. in my opinion, this channel has done a great job
