Two security officers have been filmed via body camera unlawfully removing a photographer as he attempted to photograph a BBC TV set on a public road, not closed to pedestrians.
The photographer is not an 'auditer' he is a press photographer who wears a bodycam for protection, his job was simply to get pictures of the actors and leave, but was prevented on doing so by security.
The security officers, working in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham on the set of 'My Name is Leon' which is produced by Sir Lenny Henry, failed to show their SIA badges, and assaulted the photographer by pushing his camera down and frog marching him off the set, despite being in public and not closed off.
During the whole of the confrontation, the photographer tried to calm the situation down.
The security officers voluntarily attended police interviews after the photographer reported their actions to authorities. Film Birmingham were informed of their conduct, as were the security officers' employers.
