I call myself a "Spartan Biker" not that I am indifferent to luxury but am just a CHEAPSKATE. I've frequently bought cheap stuff in the pursuit of finding that "cost effective" ideally priced and sufficiently adequate for the job at hand.
I've been looking for a boot with a more aggressive sole, although I prefer touring boots because they're lighter and slimmer while providing what I need in adequate ankle protection, I couldn't find a touring boot with lugs in the sole so I went looking for the cheapest (before Bilt came out) at my favorite motorcycle store, Cycle Gear (I do my yearly pilgrimage after perusing through the online catalog) and found this SEDICI Garda in stock.
This is not my first SIDICI branded gear, you'll see me wearing a hodgepodge of SEDICI gear from pants, to jackets and boots, both touring and now an adventure boot.
So here it is...in totality I've only worn it for a couple hours and I LIKE IT!
Of course look to having to adjust your motor-skills as the sole's are much thicker and stiffer. I found myself initially riding my brakes (just adjust the pedal down). But the boot brok-in pretty quickly, something I find with leather over Gortex.
It's a tall boot of course as it provides shin protection. all in all it's totally worth the money!
