A lot of electronic faults, like in that AC, would all be down to the exact same component failing on first use, only takes one guy to figure out which 5 cent bit needs replacing and posting it on social media, then anyone could fix it with just a soldering iron. But like ya say, the dumpsters are locked, compacted onsite and scavenging gets you arrested; such a waste of resources when dept. stores simply throw away everything that's returned.

You said the state doesn’t require nearly enough recycling that could (& would) affect the tonnage of what is supposed to be nothing but actual trash. Would or could the state possibly be invited to come & see your operations in their entirety so that they could be physically & visually informed? The state definitely sounds like they need to get themselves caught up to the current day standards as far as the way your state does things (sounds almost prehistoric) compared to the way they should probably be doing things. I’m in the St. Louis area of Missouri & we have recycling pickup days (probably on the same day as trash pickup days in most areas), trash pickup days & yard waste pickup days. I’m only talking about the area near me because I’m really not sure what’s going on throughout the rest of the state. Mixing of materials is not allowed & the “material” that is put out for pickup shouldn’t have another 1 mixed into it except for possibly in small amounts. I’ve heard of people who accidentally put something else in their yard waste in a larger quantity & the can was left unemptied for the customer to separate. It’s possible in that situation (depending on the co.)the disposal co. might come back in the next day or 2 & empty the can for no extra charge. If it’s a larger amount, the drivers know approximately what’s allowed & what’s not. A small amount of mixing may be ok but, then that could depend entirely on just what the material is that doesn’t belong where it is. It’s been good texting with you. Great videos, great content, congratulations on the size of your overall operations. Sunny side & green side up!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Yes, one of those concepts that are sensible and sound, but manufacturing corps don't want people buying refurbished, never-used return goods, salvaged by dumpster divers at a 3rd of the cost of a new one. Majority of factory defects on a single product will be identical and fixable in minutes for a few dollars, but it's more profitable for the corps to replace it and destroy the defected one. Some manufacturers even insist suppliers disable all returns by cutting power chords, stabbing circuit boards/displays with a knife or even cutting the product in half, to prevent recycling companies repairing them in bulk.

What type of fire risk are you exposed to maybe a whole video explaining how you manage the risks you face daily? Your operation is responsibly run which is encouraging but why no liner seems that land fills w/o a liner must eventually have issues as it's impossible to police all that is discarded especially what's in boxes, and closed cabinets, and containers. How do you handle methane gases from covered areas? Maybe a seperate drop off area for restricted debris, metal appliances tires petro-chemicles? If this was mine I am sure I would have trouble sleeping given the risks and responsibilities you face daily. Ray Stormont

In Denmark where I live they would throw People to prison (or at least give them very very big fines) if they sent garbage out to a dump like this. Most of the stuff you put in your landfill must be insinerated or recycled here. Only things like asbestos and other stuff that in no possible Way Can be recycled or insinerated Can go to a dump… But how do our hughe efforts and costs (From 6.000.000 People) help on global climate and enviroment when 320.000.000 Americans just dump most of their waste in landfills instead of recycling… Mr. Digg, you should travel to Europe and get some inspiration for recycling… Pick any of the scandinavian countries, they are lightyears ahead in waste handling and recycling.
