Well training like this is normal for pretty much every age and it doesn't mean that he's improving, just trying to keep the form.

He probably has the fastest forehand attack among all non-chinese table tennis players. He is the only non-asian player I've seen that top chinese players struggle when he does forehand attacks. They counter him by not letting him use his forehand attacks.
