With the aim of coordinating joint actions in favor of raising knowledge and skills for the implementation of new technologies in the Dominican Republic, the rector of the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA), Rafael Féliz García, received this Friday the courtesy visit of the president of the Board of Directors of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL), Guido Gómez Mazara.
The professor and head of ITLA, Féliz García, expressed that the joint collaboration of both institutions reinforces the vision that the Technological Institute of the Americas continues to become a training institution, both in higher education, as well as in continuing education that seeks to reduce the gap of digital inequality.
The president of INDOTEL, Guido Gómez Mazara, during his visit to various areas of ITLA, said he was surprised by all the technological advances that occur there, in addition to the efforts that are made to educate and prepare young people in the field of technology.
After listening to explanations about the manufacturing process of some products in the Wind Tunnel area, Gómez Mazara stated that this institution is vital for the Dominican Republic to become a center for digital transformation in the country, and for many of the products manufactured to become international.
Likewise, the president of INDOTEL also spoke animatedly with students who received scholarships from this institution, and invited them to continue their training, and expressed that the telecommunications regulatory body is willing to continue collaborating in their training.
