Randy and I spent a month in Portugal, but saved this most famous palace for the last week while my friend, Julia, was with us. In the morning, we toured a much older but quite picturesque castle (that was last week's video) and then we walked to another mountain peak to see this palace. Now, I'm not big on crowded tourist attractions, but it was worth the lines. We just got the regular tickets at the kiosk but you can buy them in advance online. Be careful though because there are a gazillion websites and you might over pay. Each ticket when we went was about $21. We didn't want a guided tour. All the tourists did make shooting video challenging. I know that I'm moving the camera excessively, but when every surface is decorated from floor to ceiling, there's a lot to cover! I love it all. When we return, I would like to spend more time walking the trails around the castle. So much to see in so little time. The other videos cover where we stayed in Sintra, Portugal across from the National Palace of Sintra often referred to the Town Palace. Check out that video too. It is all glorious. Enjoy! ~ Trisha Selgrath
