Long before Kitano or Tarantino was this humble fella, who just wanted to make movies look "cool". Tokyo Drifter is one of my very favorite movies, because it is just a story shown in a beautiful way - not particularly attractive or dramatic story.

I don't think so, Frederick. Apparently, Seijun Suzuki was known for making films, and yet this face represents a Japanese Colonel Sanders style flair. So he doesn't show the face to resemble Colonel Sanders, he just _looks_ like Colonel Sanders. Seijun Suzuki's not Colonel Sanders' brother, Suzuki's not in the proceeding to make chicken at the Japanese KFC market!

I love the honesty of Japanese people. Imagine a westener would give the interview, what would be the answer? I can tell you. It would be like. Well, I had a terrible childhood, my father was violent, my mother had a mental illness. The only way to escape reality was going to the movie theatre where I discovered my passion. I was hard working, making small jobs until I was discovered. Everyone is telling the same lie.
