You reminded me of my grandfather who was a watch technician for nearly 40 years. Sadly he's gone almost 3 years already. Especially that pendulum sound in your old wall clock. Thank you sir. I'm from Cebu Philippines.

For a watch that has WD40 on it, it seems to be ticking nicely. I have seen watches totally ruined by people blasting them with WD40 where they don't tick at all until all the WD40 is gone.

I think silicone would lube it nice. It is not greasy or sticky and it is hydrophobic.

Pity you broke the dial pins off by not unscrewing them first

I looked for dial pins but I could not find any and glue between dial and dial ring was obvious, that’s why I took apart ring and dial together. Thanks you for watching.

Just guessing here, but WD-40 contains petroleum distillates (light oil) and solvent of some kind. This might attack the shellac on the pallet fork and any rubber seals. It can also turn gummy as it ages.
