Another great video Josh. I love the orange samurai. I would like it with a strap code stainless bracelet.

Roger Toledo Hi there! Thanks so much!!! I love strapcode’s metal bracelets. Let me know if you ever go for one and how you like it - I love the look of a samurai on a good metal bracelet (not like the cheapy Seiko one) but wonder how heavy it would be. Cheers!!

Nice, thorough review. I am interested in hearing how the rubber holds up. I do love the way it mates up with the case!😍. I went with an orange Isofrane for my Planet Ocean based on how long the rubber compound is supposed to last. Please give some updates as time passes.

Jeffery Neu Hello! Short of making another video, I can tell you it’s been about a year, this guy gets tons of use during the summer, and it has held up just beautifully, and I don’t baby any of my watches, even my Omega. Dirt and grime comes off with a Clorox wipe and it’s lightweight and comfortable but still balances nicely with the overall weight of the case. I have another one on a Turtle and will definitely buy another if I end up getting a King Samurai! Cheers!

@@joshswatches Thanks man! I ordered the King Samurai earlier this week and can’t wait for it to come in the mail (first Seiko diver). I’m already looking for appropriate strap and bracelet upgrades.

If you don't mind measuring, what's the circumference from the buckle pin to the first hole on the band? I have a 6.5 in wrist and find most rubber bands are too big so I'd like to know before purchasing. Thanks.

Thanks for the great video. What’s your opinion on how the navy CB strap would look on this watch? As my main watch for the moment, I’m wondering whether the navy might be more versatile, but then wonder whether the four colours (navy, black, orange and silver) might be too much.

Stuart Foley I think that depends on what you tend to wear and how much you want to stand out. If you wear a lot of blue then go navy, but if not then consider the black or orange. I have to say that I think the all-orange is such a killer look. In my eye the orange makes it look more expensive too, but that’s a totally personal opinion. I really like the navy on the Save The Ocean versions of the Samurai. Hope this helped! Thanks for watching!!!

Jared Wagner Hi there! Thanks so much for watching! So yeah I can’t wear a Seiko divers on bracelets - they’re SO heavy. This is definitely the best option in my opinion. A nato strap is lighter but the case is so heavy that it’s almost too heavy for a nato. This rubber strap is the perfect combo for me but definitely makes the watch a lot more casual/sporty and might be too much so depending on how you’re wearing yours. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Thanks for your great review. I've just got this exact watch some weeks ago and am struggling with strap options for it: don't really care for the oem steel bracelet, don't like nylon nato on such a big and heavy watch, want a quality rubber strap with a touch of orange to match the dial... Seems like we got pretty much same taste :) Full orange seems a bit too much for me though. I went looking for crafter blue immediately after watching your video, but the dual colors black/orange option seems to be sold out everywhere :(

Duong Quoc Dat Hi there! Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment! I love learning more about people who watch my videos! Congrats on your new Orange Samurai! It’s such a phenomenal watch, I’m sure you’ll love it. In terms of the strap, I would recommend emailing both Crafter Blue and StrapCode directly to see if either has more information on when they’ll be back in stock. I’ve dealt with customer service from both in the past and in my experience they’ve been very helpful. Also - totally your call but I do think the solid orange is ... totally wearable despite how much it looks like a giant traffic cone haha! So if the spirit ever moves you to want to try it I would highly recommend it. Hope something in here was helpful, let me know how it goes for you! Cheers!

Duong Quoc Dat I have bought in the meantime a black/orange leather rally strap. The ebay seller is called Jonathans-direct , it looks ok and was only £10. maybe an option for you whilst we all wait and see if Crafter Blue want to make some more!

zzxxenith I did! Well half of it - the tang buckle fits but the holes on this strap are way too wide for the stock prong so I ended up not using the buckle but the original Seiko keeper works really well!

@@joshswatches On the PADI srpb99 model , unpredictable tolerance of the drill holes on the case lugs were found . In these cases a small tip spring bar with a 1.78 dia needs to be used . Probably that .

Do you think that the crafter blue strap would fit a 6inch to 6.25 inch wrist?
@joshswatches
4 жыл бұрын
Kyel John David It might be a bit long on your wrist (the slack at the end) but i think it’s still worth trying. If you buy from Strapcode, I think they have a good return policy so if you didn’t like it you could probably return pretty easily.

Daniel Orozco That’s a tough one, and would really depend on what exactly you’re looking to swap out. I would shoot Long Island Watch an email/message, they do a bunch of customizing on the lower end Seiko divers.

As is the whole purpose of the video, the strap is aftermarket, so this one came with the black strap, and you’ll have to buy the orange strap separately.

Hey there! It’s definitely large, and heavy, but it’s fine for short periods here and there, I use mine as a beach/lake watch, where the heft makes it feel less fragile for sure. Since this video I’ve gotten a King Samurai (highly recommend if you’re looking at one), and you can see some wrist shots on a rubber strap and a bracelet here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1WaNk2mkfpZ-kqQ Cheers!
