This King Samurai is amazing . It wears so well on the wrist. Honestly I have no gripes I only wish I didnt wait so long to get it. I have a number of Seikos and this is one of the best. The pop of blue colour works so well.

Just bought one in the UK and it’s such a great watch. I own omega and other Swiss watches and this matches them on all counts. This will hold or go up in price.

I hate to disagree with the title as I believe the best PADI is the one with the blue dial and the whole name of PADI spelled out on the strap. Maybe this video came before that edition but man o man, that version of the PADI Seiko is a watch to behold.

I actually saw that release (SRPJ93) after I bought this one. That is a definitely up there. If I didn’t already have this, I think the blue dial would’ve edged it over this.

I have the “great blue hole” PADI version (SRPJ93), and it’s amazing in person. The dial is fantastic looking, and the deep blue ceramic bezel with the light blue accents really pops, too. The only thing I did was swap the rubber strap with a strapcode hexad brushed/polished bracelet to really take it up a notch. It also has blue lume instead of the normal green. It’s a really nice touch. I never paid much attention to the Samurai model, but it’s the only watch I’ve worn since I got it last month.

My only gripe with this line is the hand set style.

I don’t understand why all Automatics don’t have an open back? Does this have to do with water proofing?
@BrokeWatchFanatic
4 ай бұрын
Yes. Having a solid case back means one less point of entry and one less part that could get defected. Sometimes manufacturers use solid backs to hide their unfinished movements 😆

Some solid case backs are nicer than open ones. Like the Omega 75th Anniversary collection.

Hi I realized mine didn't have the made in japan writings on the 7:30 angle. Does that mean some of these variants are not made in Japan?
@BrokeWatchFanatic

Upon doing some research, it depends on regulations for each country. Even the MIJ dials may not be fully assembled in Japan.
