Joe! Awesome episode! Remember when Keith from Vintage Machinery first built his new shop and it was all empty and HUGE, I thought to myself "If I had that shop I would be tripping over stuff in 2 years!" LOL The only thing that keeps me from buying great stuff is lack of space! =) Great job on the compressor!

You are so good at just diving into broken stuff. I admire that. Fear stops me from trying to fix things. Great job on the compressor!

Congratulations on 2000 subscribers! The compressor wouldn’t have been worth my time but I do appreciate the learning experience.

Lol. I just acquired a free old Montgomery Ward air compressor. I plugged it in and it killed the lights in my garage and just hummed. I took off the belt and tried the motor again FIRST and it spun freely. Then I checked the oil drain and water came out. I knew my cylinders were probably corroded and they are. I'm in the process of cleaning them out and checking the rod bearings to see if I can bring it back to life. But I checked the motor first lol.

Man, that little drill press is sweet!! And for what is worth, even if you did'nt fixed the motor, it was a very entertaining nd educational video. I love tearing stuff appart, and slowly get better at putting them back together. Printers are nice to dismantle as folks seem to throw them away quite often (you can get them for free basically) and they have some good parts to harvest. Thanks for the video Joe, always a pleasure!!

Congratulations for breaking 2k. It is hard not buy stuff when you find it for a good price. Drill press looks good. Looking forward to seeing you restore it. Great to see you back in the shop doing a restoration.

8:00 Dude, you just cleaned the shit out of a compressor made it work again and showed everybody on KZitem who’s interested how to do it. I realize on your side you’re working towards a working compressor but it’s not all a loss

Hahah, OF COURSE the motor ends up being bad as well.. damn projects. Usually you expect only one problem as 2 different things to break at the same time is very rare. Great work on 2000 Subs, who would of thought ehh?! Hope you're keeping well.

Hi Tony, sorry I just glossed over that part. The centrifugal switch was out of sync, it must have been reassembled improperly before. For some reason I didn't record that part.

I can't speak regarding the part about compressing combustible materials in a shed or such, but in terms of normal use I have never seen an air tank fail explosively, they usually develop a pin hole leak along the bottom weld seem.
