Thanks, this was really helpful. I'd love to see the other ways you can clip data in QGIS!

Glad to be of help Catherine! And thanks for the comment. There's a lot of ways to clip data in QGIS and it's a good idea for a play list. Do you have any in particular that you'd like to know more about?

I don't - I don't know enough about QGIS to have specific ones in mind! I am just learning, so am interested in anything else you share on the subject.

Is there a way of clipping the open street map layer from the xyz tiles to use when creating a map in QGIS 3?

I don't think there's a way to clip from the xyz tiles (they are effectively WMS raster tiles) but you could always use OSM downloader to get the vectors. I think that would be a good follow up video! I'm in a Honduran cloud forest at the moment but I'll get right on it when I return to civilisation.

Great thanks. Could you possibly also explain why when I try save a map with xyz tiles (Openstreet Map included) the image zooms out when saved?

Hi Chirstopher. I do not know why this happens. I'll try and recreate the problem and get to the bottom of it.
