I had to cut a short portion of the trailer during my reaction due to copywrite so that's why there's an awkward cut in there!

This trailer is painful to watch. The quality is top notch and not cheap. Selena’s death is gonna hit even harder then it did in the movie and I feel bad for the little kids watching this who are Selena fans cuz they’re gonna learn what happened to her and that’s a pain I don’t wish on anyone.

The trailer actually got me a bit excited. Just hope Part 2 will be better than the trailer, and an improvement from Part 1. It definitely has potential. We'll wait and see.

Is funny how fake fans are the ones who talk the most. Part one focused on Selena’s beginnings meaning when she was a kid and a teenager. Selena wasn’t always wearing hoop earrings, red lipsticks, bustiers. Part one was great and it really showed way more about her struggles as a rising star.

Do I qualify as a real fan and not a fake fan? I loved the series and my reactions and takes and not as critical as this creator, but you can obviously tell he is a real fan. We got chocked up in the same moments. Watch his face. That's a real Selena fan. He just wants things done top notch as far as production, editing, and writing because Selena deserves it. I totally agree with him on that.

I gave it an 8. The Chris scenes were portrayed as negative in my opinion. I would love to see his book which is totally different than the series come to light on the screen.

I feel you, I agree, not everything was full out in the first part. But I do feel like they were trying. But check out all the production team, all latinos up and down. Check their imdb, for many of them this is their first time at the helm. To me, there's something to be appreciated about that and seeing this through that lens helps me. They put a lot of detail, and I just really see it as them trying to desperately show us they are Selena fans too. But i do have big expectations for this series. Also, i need to learn to get a good camera and audio. My reaction to this trailer looks like i filmed it in 2001.

I definitely appreciate the fact that Netflix allowed her series to even happen in the first place and made a platform for latin creators behind the scenes as well. We can only hope for more of the same! You film with what you can until you can get better gear, totally a normal process. Once you get a chance then you can spend a few bucks on new stuff.

For part 1, I went in being excited and I ended up not liking it much, felt cheap..I felt she was incapable of carrying Selena's essence and voice, the way JLO did. But, I did like the story and the acting by some of the actors. I seen this trailer and it gives me hope and makes me feel excited that she did justice this time for Selena. It looks good. She looks like she grew into Selena a little more.

I give it an 8. It was the family's version. To be honest I didn't really like the Chris scenes. I felt like they portrayed Chris in a negative light. Now I would like to see Chris's version on the screen. It will probably never happen.

Yeah I would hope Chris got a chance to create something, but with the way they've done things it probably won't happen.

So according to a stand-in from the movie named Janice Cruz she was the one in the back of the ambulance: The most emotionally difficult scene was when Cruz was lying in the back of an ambulance after Selena’s character had been shot by her fan club president Yolanda Saldivar, played in the movie by the late Lupe Ontiveros. “That was my hand that drops the egg ring she was clutching that Saldivar had given her,” Cruz said. Cruz admits she doesn’t know if that actually happened, but it made for a dramatic shot portraying Selena as she died.

@Tanay Morris-Gatlin No it didn't happen, Selena gave the ring back to Yo Yo in the Motel after Selana caught her in a lie about being assaulted.

Actually it’s documented that Selena did in fact drop the ring in the ambulance. The EMT later found the ring in the ambulance.

I am so looking forward to Part 2 except the end which is going to be hard to see; however, we should see more music and concert scenes, how the relationship between Selena and Chris developed, and how nut case Yo Yo weaved her way into the mix. I don't know if any of Abstract Framework's followers know this but last October Selena was named the greatest female Latin singer of all time by Bill Board Magazine and just 3 weeks ago the American Music Association named her Album "Dreaming of You" the greatest Latin Album of all time, what an honor, just wanted to mention that.
