What a wonderful lesson, thank you! I learned about self-heal in the first bioregional herbalism workshop I ever took and was completely blown away that such powerful medicine was just there, humbly growing all around me. We made a flower essence with it, which was a wonderful initiation. It grows wild in my yard, you've inspired me to try more preparations with it and also maybe try cultivating a patch! Love your content, as always! xo

That’s such a poignant way to describe it, it is a very humble flower right within reach but rarely given a second glance. 💚 If you do start a patch, I pray that it grows abundantly for you.

Thank you 😊 Self heal is amazing. My husband and I are drinking clover and self heal tea right now. Warms me up just thinking about all it can do!

Timely video. I planted some this year so it's not quite ready to use. I am prone to fever blisters on the lips. I'm thinking it may be useful as a lip balm to stop the progression of an outbreak when I get that tingle that tells me one is about to erupt. May also be a good addition to my detox tea blend.

Hi Another plant of plenty here, happy to say, i'm going to pick a bunch and dry it to make tea with, will drying it make it loose any of it's effect? We call it heal -all same plant i think lol Take care love your videos 😊💕🌱🌱

Like most plants some of the medicinal constituents are lost during the drying process, but not all! In fact, in Chinese medicine if you let the flowers dry before picking, they are more potent for supporting liver health. I dry the whole plant and use it in tea all the time, it’s great. And yes, heal-all is the same as self-heal, I’ve heard it called both. Thanks for watching and happy foraging!

You can grow self heal in the mid to north parts of India (up to zone 9). It would need a little shade and frequent watering to thrive.
