In this video in Hindi we discussed about Self Induction and self inductance or coefficient of self induction in Physics. When we pass current through a solenoid, as the magnetic flux associated with the solenoid changes, an induced emf and hence, an induced current flows in the opposite direction of the min current and it is in accordance with the Lenz's Law. This kind of electromagnetic induction is known as self induction, because the solenoid induces itself. The magnetic flux associated with the solenoid is proportional to the instantaneous current through that solenoid and it is found to be μ (n)^2 L A I, where μ is the absolute permeability of the medium, n is the number of turns per unit length of the solenoid, L is the length of that solenoid, A is the cross sectional area of that solenoid and I is the current through the solenoid. The magnetic flux is equal to the coefficient of self induction of that solenoid times the current through it.
