I hugely regret selling all my LV in 2005/6 when I had some financial issues. All the pieces I had were readily available (remember when we could walk into an LV boutique and JUST BUY CANVAS without jumping through hoops?! 😲), I lost so much money and, as you said, it was a short-term solution that ultimately did little to ease my situation. I don't regret selling bags more recently, but I do hate the selling process, it's so stressful! Great video Jane, thanks for sharing! 🤗💕

Thank you Gwenny, I'm glad to know someone else "gets it" and was foolish like myself, lol. Yes, I remember just walking in and picking whatever. When I bought my groom pochette cles, at the boutique, the collection had been out for MONTHS. And was still available in the store. I bought my green denim speedy from LV in 2007, and the collection had been out for over a year. They didn't have the business strategy of scarcity that they do now. I bet social media is partly to blame.

I don't feel as sad over not having those Coach bags anymore, my heart belongs to LV 💙 Speaking of Gucci! I think you would love that green one Dayle just got! 😀

I have some regrets and others I don’t miss (not comfy to wear, not right size, etc.) but to be a true collector, very few get it right every time in the beginning. This designer bag love comes with trial and error ... and I like to think we get smarter as we go along. I sold some to pay for others I love more but some I will hang onto forever. I try to only buy “special” hard to find bags now. They bring me greater joy because not everyone has them. Appreciate your honesty and I subscribed. 🌟

Thanks so much for watching, Julie! It is a tough lesson to learn. From now on I am going to be much more mindful in what I buy, as well as what I sell. Unfortunately everything in my collection that I would now consider selling would fetch so little money (all contemporary to no-name brands) that it's hardly worth the fees. So they are going into "retirement"/storage instead, for maybe when my girls might want them.

Hi - new subbie here! I live in WA state too!! I have that same denim speedy in green- I purchased it from the Seattle boutique on 5th ave. It was my first LV bag! I started collecting LV with SLGs in 2002. My first LV purchase, too, was an MM agenda - a gift to myself for getting into dental hygiene school. And I have that white wapity case too. (we seem to have similar tastes!) I now have a pretty extensive collection after all these years. I have no regrets because I have never sold anything from my collection, yet. I might not ever. ps) just added a new to me rare bucket bag from 2010 limited edition collection, it was delivered yesterday in immaculate condition, I don't think anyone ever used it!!

Same for me too. When i had my son i sold my speedy B30 in Damier Ebene. It was my first LV Bag. My husband surprised me on Christmas Day 5 years ago! I would never in a million years imagine my husband spending more than a thousand for a bag he is the type that told me years ago just to just get a walmart bag 🤣 Fast forward i sold it to buy the size 25. And the quality isn’t the same and the size 25 isn’t for me the opening always scratch my hands! Then on my 25th birthday my husband bought me the Pochette Metis in Mono. Now it started cracking and i took it to LV for a repair. I now realize i don’t have 2 of my original bags anymore. So from now on i am not selling anything compulsively. I also get so easily influenced watching minimalism videos that owns 1 only bag 😁 i went trough that stage of wanting to be a minimalist and got read of stuff i end up regretting.

@janehex
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching 🥰✨ I can't say I am an expert on that, but I have used eBay and Fashionphile. You probably get more money back on eBay (depending on the item), but it can take a long time, and there are risks involved if the buyer is shady at all. FP is quick and easy and give you money up front, but unless your item is in very very high demand (rare, limited, in new condition), you'll probably lose some money on it.
