I like to travel. Some lakes are so big and so different across the country, this is brilliant for someone like me. Some of the best guides are booked during major vacation times, normally. I have zero problem paying for some waypoints and the program for those waypoints. Give me the cast line ups and let me give my family memories that last a lifetime.

Exactly! And it’s wayyyy more than just waypoints it’s educational!

Here are my thoughts. I call myself a tournament fisherman; however, I don't fish a handful of tournaments a year. In my mind I consider this cheating your craft. Your average recreational fisherman will not successfully be able to use this information. This stuff is going to be geared towards and used by tournament anglers. I just don't care for it. I do think there's a major market for it out there. I just see this as another form of hole jumping, pirating, etc... I do think the guy has a genius idea of making money.

Congrats on the 1k. Just like everything in the fishing world this last year, if it's not your cup of tea cool but don't tell someone how they need to spend their money.

Good show. I think Fish tips may be a good thing. But it is hard to catch other fisherman’s fish. Every tournament fishermen knows that.

Love the show guys. Not a fan of fishtips though. Comparing it to guiding is a false equivalency. 1 person paying $500 for a day on the water is not the same and numerous people paying $50 for a list of waypoints. Same with the social media argument. But obviously he's convinced himself.

I assure you it’s not “a list of waypoints.” The average tip price is around $150, which after taking out expenses for gas, labor, insurance and equipment is about the true “net” of what guides make (depending on what they charge). Hope that helps 👍🏼

As far as the business idea goes i believe its a great one, but i personally dont trust someone who has all the answers and no problems and has everything figured out.

Gotta be honest. Least favorite episode so far. Dude just talked way too much. Could wear out a wooden Indian. The Juice is still the bomb and I’ll never leave. But I had to hit the buzzer on that ramblin man.

He sells map breakdowns for seasonal patterns and where you should focus on that time of year. This is completely different. To each his own, I personally don't care about either.

Sounds like what we are already getting from Garmin, lowrance, Humingbird, Navionics and the like. Those companies update that info to be as relevant as possible. Whats the difference, i see nothing except local anglers making a buck instead of big corporations. And if its available to all in the public, get over it. Its not cheating.

If you pay for Fish Tips, you are not an angler, you're a poorer cheaper version of a guide client. Finding your own fish and learning how a body of water sets up is 1/2 of the game. Don't fall for this
