Vallunga (German: Langental), Ladin: '' Val '', is a U-shaped valley in South Tyrol, which branches off from Val Gardena in the municipality of Selva di Val Gardena and leads north-east in the Puez Group. The valley is bordered to the north by Monte Stevia, Col dala Pieres and Piz Duleda, the Piz de Puez peaks and the Col de Puez. To the south, the two side valleys of Lietres and Creduloni (in German Kedultal) branch off; they are separated (from north to south) by the crests of the Cir Group, Mont de Sëura and Col Turont. The whole area is part of the Puez-Odle Natural Park.
The valley offers numerous hiking trails in the summer and a long cross-country ski run in the winter.
The ruins of Wolkenstein Castle rise in the middle of the rocks at the entrance on the right side of the valley. In the lower part of the valley is the Sylvester Chapel, with frescoes from the 18th century (Source Wikipedia).
