This 90-minute session on Friday will feature a panel made up of these five participants.
Richard Hays, Dean at Duke Divinity School and Professor of New Testament
Lynn Cohick, Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College
Carey Newman, Director of Baylor University Press (PhD in New Testament)
David Capes, Thomas Nelson Research Professor at Houston Baptist University
Mark Lanier, J.D. trial attorney, Bible teacher, author, and founder of the Lanier Theological Library
The general theme of discussion will be the significance of the Old Testament for the New Testament. It will tie in with the Saturday lecture by Richard Hays, which is entitled “Did Moses Write about Jesus? The Challenges of Figural Reading.” A focus will be on a recent book by Richard Hays, entitled Reading Backwards: Figural Christology and the Fourfold Gospel Witness.
