Semolina chocolate chip muffins
Made by a 5 year old! Baking with kids improves their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and strengthens their hands. You have fun together and they also get to learn some maths and science! #startyoung #kidscanbake
Ingredients:
Semolina (rava) - 1 cup (very fine or powdered)
Milk - 1 cup
All purpose flour / maida - 1/4 cup
Baking powder - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 4 tbsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice/vinegar - 1/2 tsp
Vanilla essence - 1/2 tsp
Chocochips - 1/4 cup (optional)
“𝑶𝒉 𝑾𝒐𝒘” 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒆:
1. Take semolina in a bowl and add the milk. Allow it to rest for 30 mins.
2. Now add sugar and oil and mix gently using a spatula.
3. Add in the flour (sifted), baking powder and baking soda and mix.
4. Finally add the lemon juice, vanilla essence and chocochips and mix gently.
5. Place the muffin liners in the muffin tray and then pour the batter over it (upto 3/4th full).
6. Bake it in a preheated oven at 200 deg celsius for 15 to 20 mins or until done.
7. Enjoy the tasty, healthier muffins!
