Thanks for making this video! I’ve replaced all the o-rings I can but am still rather stumped. When I pull the trigger I get a blast of air coming from where the trigger pin ends. There are two holes at the end of this area, basically a left and a right. This is not the exhaust port. When I pull the trigger air is released and that is basically it.

I’m not sure if this is an o-ring issue or something internal at this point. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Is the rubber band style ring around the bottom of the cylinder? Also the hard plastic piece at the end of the head may be cracked or bad? Most times something is missing or broken in the head valve, outer o-ring on cylinder or trigger when this happens. Make sure head valve assembly pushes in and springs out freely, if one of the o-rings is pinched it causes this also

Thanks for making this video. In have a circa SN325 from around 1991 that I took out of moth balls. I did some repairs to it and its up and running again! I have attempted to run some of the 12d senco brand nails from the local lumber yard. 8d run great, 12d look like they are a touch too long. These nails are 34 degree. No one can seem to tell me if the new nails will function properly in my old SN325. Any advice would be greatly apriciated.

Normally the o ly reason this happens is because the metal piece at the top of the cylinder is missing. Can you look up the parts diagram and confirm everything is actually there? I would bet something is missing

Hi, thanks for the video.... Parts are not available for my northern tool framing nailer. Any chance of using o rings to get it working? Plastic parts in rear of tool failed. Tool is prob 25 yrs old but less than 100 nails through it. Thanks...

O rings in most nailer applications do not have to be exact so it is possible if you can find the right size it is possible. You can get assorted sizes for pretty cheap or measure and order 1 by 1 online

Thank you!! They sell the YK0243 and YK0244 rebuild kits online but do not sell a complete kit. I used to get aftermarket o-ring kits from www.theoringstore.com/ It does look like it shows them being out of stock but they show the 701xp rebuilt kits available and they are mostly the same kit. This is the only place I have ever gotten kits from that actually worked for these nailers. Every other place selling them the sizes do not match up

@@IndRepair Thanks for the reply! Just got it going a few minutes ago. After taking it apart a dozen times over the last few days, it finally clicked that when I put the trigger assembly in the cap (instead of the gun itself), I could depress the pin with my finger and see its "head" pop out about 1 mm through the back side of the cap. When I would assemble it and pull the trigger, only air would come out of the hole where I had previously been able to see the "head" stick out when depressed. I popped the finger part of the trigger off and it fires every time when I depress the trigger pin directly. I'll see later if I can adjust something to be able to re-install the finger part, but at least I'll be able to use it now. Thanks for the video!

No, some of the older guns do need to be reset after reassembly. Remove all nails, push trigger safety into wood, pull trigger and hold it in while you hook up air. It should cycle soon as air is plugged un. Hope that helps!
