Vaping is an absolute tragedy. Not only does it affect the lungs of those that are smoking them, but also those around them. It’s a bunch of inconsiderate idiots, that think they’re better than everyone else and that they’re “edgy” - whilst in reality they’re all insecure. I truly feel bad for them. They’re all young and they’re being exploited by sellers and resellers who know very well what they’re doing, but they’d rather sell that vape for the extra $10 in their pocket, at the cost of several lives. It’s getting so accessible I commonly see 10 year olds walking around the street vaping without a care in the world, as if they’re doing nothing wrong. That’s only one of it. The other side is the peer pressure. You’re often pressured into being around those who vape if you want popularity, or even smoking the damn vape if you want popularity. Thankfully I’m very stern when it comes to turning down the myriad of offers I have received to Vape but I know other vulnerable and exploitable people can’t say the same. No one in this situation really has any clue the severity of their actions apart from the greedy businesses that make the things and those who are selling them on to people who are obviously underage. They then take them into the bathrooms and infiltrate the air with a horrendous toxic smell of artificial fruits. It’s sickening. I go into the room where the others vape and it feels like I have it in my lungs for the next half an hour, I feel sick. I seriously don’t get the appeal at all. I’ll never touch a vape or a cigarette or alcohol or drugs. TEST ME.

Storytime: I recently met up with my cousin who I've looked up to for my whole life. He just graduated HS. I haven't talked to him in person since he was a freshman, I'm 2 grades below him but about a year and a half younger. He was #2 QB on his HS football team and had become super built since I had last seen him. He's got high grades and is going into a great university. I was super excited to meet up with him again cause he's always been someone I've admired and looked up to. We talked about college and school and where he was going, but he said he's gotten involved in local gangs and has been at parties that have gotten dangerous, had sex, drank, smoked, partied. As I was listening to this I felt like I'd been lied to. That this awesome leader is actually an addict on the inside. my family is very religious and they don't know about most of the things he's done. He asked me if I've ever vaped or drank and I said no. (Truthfully I haven't. Nor do I have interest.) In that moment he began looking up to me. He said I'm on a better path than him simply because I stay away from that. It didn't matter to him that the statuses and grades he was getting may have been higher than mine, but it mattered that I had control of myself and he didn't. We're checking up on each other daily and now I'm trying to get him into nofap. Addictions can ruin you no matter your social status or abilities. Thanks for reading.

Lucid, you’ve helped me change my life for the better. Ages 14 and half of 15 or so i was living my life on repeat. I’d wake up, do the same things, eventually start feeling bored or frustrated or really anything negative and then I’d numb my mind to the pain through porn. It was miserable. I decided I’d devote my life to nofap, i tried every technique, every strategy, every tactic under the sun. I started really living my life, i threw the same old monotonous routine right out the window and well, it worked. My mental state went way up and today, i dont even think about PMO. I know this isn’t a nofap video but haha, i just wanted to say thank you. My advice to guys and gals dealing with addiction would be to simply not give up.

Huge problem with vapes is that people compare it to cigarettes: Its cheaper, doesnt taste like ass, you dont smell (your parents wont notice), it doesnt burn out like a cig (you only have to recharge or switch the pod), and people think it cant be very harmful cause there are less chemicals. These reasons lead to more people actually starting to vape.

just saying, but compared to smoking, second-hand vaping has little to no harmful effects (except for the nasty smell), so i am personally happy that people choose to vape more than to smoke these days, at least it doesnt make me cough like when a smoker passes by. And talking about "vaping to be popular", i have never actually seen someone being popular in my school because he is "cool" and he vapes.. fun fact: there is a vape shop opening soon right in front of the school.. and this is in Canada, a pretty developed country. I have this girl in my school who vapes quite frequently. Heck, she excuses herself mid class to snag a puff in the bathroom. Personally, I couldn't care less about the fact that she vaped (because i didn't know her too well). What really ticked me off is when she started selling vapes to some of my closest friends for around $6 (currency difference might be at play here, I converted the price to USD). At that point, I wanted to give her up to the teachers. It's one thing to vape - but to distribute it to others and spread your addiction? Especially those close to me? Unacceptable. I talked one of my friends out of it, they gave me their vape in school and I disposed of it myself. The other, well, I wasn't there when he bought his vape. You can vape if you want to, I won't stop you. But NEVER try to pressure others into trying ANYTHING similar or vaping itself.

I ended up trying alcohol at ~16yo and got addicted, I tried my friends energy drinks once at ~21yo and got addicted. But still to this day I have refused smokes and vapes because I know I will get addicted. Its so hard getting over these addictions, as of now, I drink alcohol about once ever 2-3 months. For the people who are addicted to anything, try have it less and less or even substitute it with something weaker until you don't need it at all.

In late 2018 when I was hanging with friends, I liked the scent of one of their big vape cartridges, so he let me hit it. It was often in good fun when I’d ask him so it was never to numb any pain or anything like that. At the time I was still somewhat getting over a breakup and trying to finish high school however, so those were actually stressors. I never had a real interest in the first place, it just smelled and tasted okay. I think the smell is how they get these teens into it.

the other day i ran into a few of my friends from grade 6-7. they were innocent, awesome people, and i was excited to see them after such a long time. my joy turned into disappointment after they pulled out vapes. they also told me that almost all of our other classmates had found themselves in the dark pit of drugs and drinking. i left quite sad for them, knowing theyve already given up, and theyre not even out of high school yet. they biggest problem is the fact that its unbelievably easy to get access to vapes and weed, especially in canada (where i live), as there are stores for it everywhere. thank you lucid, you are stating major problems on this planet that arent talked about enough. you are an inspiration.

I’m ngl I was addicted to vaping for a while, and now I’m finally almost 4 months clean!! The whole time I vaped I felt so ashamed of myself for doing it, what did it for me was when day I forgot my vape when I went to work. And having to go a whole day with vaping literally drove me insane and when I went home I took my vape went on a drive and just chucked out the window and that was the breaking point that helped me quit. The first week was the hardest but what helped me the most was to chew on something at all time and every time I craved it I’d get up go to the gym or do something else and also what I found was that certain hobby could make u crave it for instance when I was playing games I’d usually vape so every time I hopped on my pc I’d immediately get the urge to smoke so whenever I felt that I just didn’t play or when I was sitting or laying down I’d get the urge so I’d just get up wash my face, do something else that required to use my brain for ex mediating(which helped a lot), hand coordination exercises like rotating my left hand clockwise and my right hand counter clockwise. After 2 weeks for me personally I found that dealing with cravings was extremely easier than the first week cravings. Something to note is the withdrawal process is completely different for everybody some people might have a worse withdrawal than other people, for me I had it really bad constant headaches , shivers, throwing up(well almost I despise throwing up with all my might so I refused to throw up). Anyways during the withdrawal phase I just drank a ton of water, also taking Tylenol really helped. Once the withdrawal phase is over it’s just a matter cravings that are way easier to deal with. I still get cravings occasionally but they’ve become essentially nonexistent. And if you ever relapse, don’t worry!! Don’t give up and just keep trying. I hope this really helps someone that is trying quit.

i was a vaper and cart smoker/bud, alcohol all that i never did anything harder but one day i realized i can’t explain what it feels like but my entire mindset changed i started reading the bible more i got back in the gym, im starting to have a plan for my life i know what i wanna do and how im gonna do it, and im working on fixing my mental health problems the real way. side note im not against thc/cbd in anyway whatsoever im fully aware that for some severe mental heath problems like ptsd its used medicals to help that person, moderation is important i could not moderate myself so i had to quit.

I was just at my brother's highschool graduation and some of the seniors were smoking cigars after the graduation. It was outdoors in the football field and they had just gotten their diplomas. The families were trying to reach their children that had graduated but there was this big cloud of smoke coming from the field that was horrible. Now I'm not talking about vapes, I'm talking about thick cigars. They were so addicted that right after the ceremonies ended they had to get a hit regardless of the setting or children that were there.

You need to find other coping methods, it's definitely hard to quit, I personally quit after doing it for most my life. You can try going to r/quitvaping the community is really helpful and the people there would be happy to help you find any way you can quit. I didn't quit until I had a seizure that was from too much nicotine (no I didn't drink e liquid).

Thank u for this, it annoys the shit out of me. I'm in high school, practically my entire year vapes, then there's me thinking "why?". It doesn't even look cool, it just looks dumb. Idk why I feel like the only kid in my class who seems to find it stupid. Like u said, it was invented to STOP people from smoking ciggs, not to make them WANT ciggs. I've been offered to try it a couple times, every time I say no to it I get made fun of lol, IT MAKES NO SENSE. Again thanks for this vid, always speaking the truth.

I saw this video that showed a way of how to quit. They said use a straw to suck out of it when ever you would use a vape and then do 10 push ups or something simular after a while you don't want to do it again doing the exerices increases your dopamine rush the same as taking a hit

I used to do substances when I was younger. Vaping was my help to quit. It has also helped me tremendously with no fap as it's been almost 4 months since I've stopped. Since I stopped no fap I also stopped using instagram tik tok and snapchat. I feel more focused and dedicated to school, work, self improvement and my ADHD symptoms seem to have been less bad. For the first time in my life I was able to pull a 12 hour long study session without wasting time. But I don't think I would have been able to quit substances and no fap and social media if it wasn't for nicotine. It has sadly been a crutch for me that I am not yet strong enough to remove from my life. Your videos help me get stronger and I hope that one day I will be free from any addictions. Keep doing you big homie, god bless you.

I don't know if this makes sense, but I've never done drugs, or vaped, or smoked, or drank alcohol in my life, and I am very resistant to peer pressure, but I still fear one day that something will slip up within me and I will fall down an extremely slippery slope. I don't know what to do to put my mind at ease about that, even though this is only a momentary fear that I have. In reality, I don't worry I will slip up, but when I start thinking about it, that's when it gets scary.

totally agree man. it comes down to doing things that are actually fulfilling in the long term and sticking to those positive habits and activities (exercising, lifting weights, skill based hobbies, sports, meditating, etc). drugs/nicotine only give you a temporary buzz and don't do anything positive for you.
