Don't forget that the Mughal themselves were Persian by spirit and only their distant paternal linage was from Mongols. The Mughal kings were great patrons of Persian Culture and Language. The official Language of Mughal empire was indeed Persian!!!

Urdu is Turkish for "Soldier" and was language of operation among the Mughals. The Mughals themselves conquered the sub-continent from West to East. Their main cities were in modern day Afghanistan, Pakistan and India...in that sequence too. By simple logic Urdu passed through the territory of Pakistan, and then through India.

@MarkSien im half turkish sir, urdu means army.. and urdu's name used to be zaban-e-urdu.. i.e language of the army.. the mughals themselves spoke farsi, or dari as you may call it since they were afghan mongols (modern day hazarewal like), btw from 1757 to 1823 even the british spoke farsi. so urdu and hindi were the language of the masses but farsi was spoken in the royal courts

sorry you're wrong. north indian languages and the languages of Paksitan east of the River Indus belong to the sindo-Aryan sub-branch, not the iranian sub-branch of the indo-european language family. Languages from Pakistan west of the river Indus, Afghanistan and much of iran belong to the Iranian sub branch of the Indo-European language family.

Urdu may have been "created' in "delhi" but the fact is it was done so by Muslims. How many indians can speak pure Urdu (which they try and pass off as "hindi"). Very few can and even then they fall flat on their face with grammar and syntax. Sad but true.

@omiid786 wrong. The Dari/Farsi language of Afghanistan is the real form of neo-farsi (Persian) but we people from Iran - Laarestan (south Shiraz area) and Hormuzgan (Bastak, Bander Abbas, Kookherd) - southern Iran along the mountains speak the pure form of persian which is directly originated from Middle persian (pahlavi). And u find many old-persian iranic and middle persian words in our lingo which has been lost in Farsi/dari (both irani and afg). And we do not use much arabic as you do!

The vedas isn't hindu. Its pre-hindu. Vedism also existed on the Iranian plateau so its not just indian. No indu gods are mentioned in the Vedas. So perhaps you accept the vedas but it isn't your text. It is a pre-hindu text.

@Amanalizada khuda nakhwasta.. urdu is an amalgamation and i would like you to quote ghalib, because back then zaban-e-urdu was called rakhti.. the world urdu was chosen for this language in wellington college calcutta in 1865

I didn't say iranians accept the vedas. I said the culture presented in the vedas is pre-hindu and not hindu. indo-aryan does not mean hindu. And obviously before hinduism was formedd from a fdusion of aryan and dravidian beliefs, there was an indo-aryan culture and that culture was that of the aryans who inhabted the Indus valley and composed the vedas.

Incorrect again. Pakistan west of the river Indus is located on the Iranian plataeu on wich live the iranian peoples. So half of Pakistanis are Iranian (not nationally but ethno-linguistically). "empire" would suggest ruling lands beyond one's actually existence in which case persians/iranians did rule parts of india. Also Sanskrit and Avestan have phonetic differences. Hindus cannot claim sanskrit because Sanskrit it vedic. Hindus are dravidians. Oh and she didn't rip it off, she re-sang it.

@obaidjannangarhari You're right! Afghanistan is in other words a fabricated country that was founded in Persia(Safawiyah) and India(Mughal dynasti)'s expence about 240 years ago. The pashtun villagers in the ancient Persian land began gain power as the english colonists sovereignty. Even the language u speak in Afghanistan comes from Iran (Fars province). On the other hand, Pashtu is originally and east iranian language whic is spoken in present Afghanistan (Original language of AFghanistan).

Your Urdu? Ha ha!!! I'm sorry to say, but Urdu was created in Delhi, which is where I am from. So it's totally my Urdu. Your languages are Punjabi, Balochi, Pasto and Sindhi. Both Old Persian and Sanskrit are languages not in use today. But my point was about the similarity between the two. Given the fact that every North Indian language falls within the Indo-Iranian language group, all of our languages are sister languages of Farsi. And I can actually speak Farsi, I don't think you do.

@omiid786 Neo-persian (Dari) is not the real original persian while its heavily mixed with arabic, turkish and other languages. Do not think that Tehran is representing hole Iran and its cultures and languages LOL. Languages like Lori/bakhtiari, taleshi, mazandarani, gilaki, bastaki, kookherdi, evazi, Laari, Anaraki, The dialect of zoroastrians in Yazd (yazdi) are all pure middle persian languages which existed before Dari-farsi etablished in Khorasan about 1100 years ago!

No hindus cannot claim sanskrit. The Vedas is not hindu is the original Aryan text. Hinduism comes from a merging of Aryan and Dravidian beliefs. I'm sure you are aware that modern day hindu gods such as hanuman, ganesh etc are absent in the Vedas because the vedas is not hindu. Hindu gods appear in texts such as the gita because the gita is hindu. Like most hindus you are confusing vedism and hinduism. Vedism is pure aryan and originates in the indus valley. hinduism aryo-dravidian mixed up.

@oichakdeyphatay I do not understand why indians always claim that Pakistan was part of India while most parts of Pakistan (West side if Indus river) used to be one nation with other iranic people of Persia (persian empire). Indians never had one inch of Persia! Ancient persian/iranic provinces of south eastern Persia (Todays Pakistan) - Maka/Makran, Gedrosia, Arachosia, Gandhara, Sattagydia! LONG LIVE IRANIC NATIONS PAKISTAN / IRAN. down with indian jealeusy! Make your curry and yoghurt instead

1. Persian wasn't the historical language for 2000 years. It was the administrative language of the Mughal empire, which began in early 1500s 2. What comprises present day Pakistan was never, ever part of the Persian empire. 3. As for South Asian - what do you feel about the fact that Sanskrit and Old Persian are virtually sister languages :)? Oh by the way, this chick totally ripped off Leila Forouhar's song Jooni-Joonam.

@omiid786 And Afghanistan didn't take a shit LOL. During the achaemenidian dynasti (Persian empire) we used many bactrians (afghans) and sogdians (afghans) as great brave soldiers and scholars so those areas are by history ours! Later in history we have a bunch of traitors who etablished their own fabricated states (if u mean by telling that this areas was taken by you).
