Cheers mate, it was nothing more than what you would’ve done for any of us. Totally agree, that the responders and from what I’ve heard medical staff were and have been outstanding. Just glad you’re still with us and the recovery looks promising.

Nice one Tony. That trail after Box of birds looked hectic steep. Hats off to you all you guys jumping straight into action to get Rod medical assistance there asap. Wishing him a speedy recovery. 🙌💪🫶

Bro, we all did our bit. You and Warren sort medical assistance, and I was Jonny on the spot with Rodders. We just did what needed to be done.

Hi as someone who has been where he is (had 60 stiches in my left eye and lost sight thru a 'freak' accident - surfing, not mtbing) I am really sorry to hear about Rodney's accident. Any update on that? Do they think the surgery was successful and he'll be able to see or too early to tell? Understand if not able to say... just keep thinking about his accident and hoping the best for him.

Sorry to hear about your accident, eye injuries aren’t pleasant. He is doing remarkably well!!! He still has the eye (a miracle given what happened) and the specialist are positive with his recovery. There will be more surgeries to come. Cheers.

Hope Rodney is doing well. I agree you could never post that picture. In fact kind of wishing I could un see it. Mountain biking is such a freak sport. I have seen Rodney do things I am way too scared to do. Then a stick gets you. Wishing him all the best.

Yeah he’s his usual upbeat self and taking it in his stride. Was something straight out of a horror movie that’s for sure. Absolutely!! Can happen to anyone at anytime these “freak” incidents. 👍
