English: Although the weather is very nice today, the forecast for next week says it's time to cut down the tomatoes. Some of the plants have also had fungal issues and I thank them for their effort this season and say goodbye. Leni stole the best looking tomato behind my back, but it's her fourth Birthday, so it's like she picked her gift. I'm keeping the cherry tomatoes and the mystery tomato in the pallet collar bed a little longer as the plants look very healthy and I hope they can ripen some more before I cut them down.
Also looking at some flowers, I've not had a good nasturtium year, the second flower of the summer is blooming today. I've had a very good cosmos year however, and both bees and myself are enjoying them.
I have some bush beans growing and one kohlrabi and some really successful perennial Welsh onions (which is actually a Norwegian onion called pipeløk - pipe onion, it's been growing on sod roofs for hundreds of years) and some not so successful, but I like the taste of the smaller ones, they are almost sweet.
I have hopes for the fourth sowing of coriander/cilantro and some winter purslane.
I also looked at a cut rose I was given and just placed in a planter. This planter never dries out, so when the head died I cut it off and left the rest, and now I see some new growth, so that is exciting.
Негізгі бет September. Nedklipp tomat, Lenis bursdag, blomster og bier.
