I appreciate that Matt always talks about his job, but doesn’t go into details with it. Even working directly in politics , he doesn’t make it political. Love this channel

So glad you loved Dregs and Disquiet Gods! I loved both but I’m still hoping the best is yet to come with the finale. Eeek on the Powder Mage reread-can’t say it’s getting me pumped to try it. I just finished a Way of Kings reread myself and am onto Words of Radiance-these books are doing so much, it’s absurdly impressive

Matt I'm so amazed by you, honestly. It seems like you have a very busy schedule in and outside of work. A lot of responsibilities. Further you manage to invest a decent amount of time into videogames aswell. But... BUT!... You still find time to read Words of Radiance AND Deadhouse Gates?! Like are you kidding me :D Just how? And it doesn't even stop there. I'm currently also very busy with work and my second born daugther which is 2 months old. The older daughter being 1 year and 9 months. So that keeps me occupied a lot, usually at least until 9pm. I'm very much happy if I manage to read 1 book per month currently ;) Your reading pace is really beyond my comprehension. Keep going I like you content a lot.

Thanks, and congrats on the children! I just keep a very diligent reading schedule. The two big sources of time I read where most people don't is that I don't really sleep a ton, usually around 5 hours a night. So there's a couple extra hours of reading most people don't get. And I also don't really watch any TV, so that's a lot of extra time. Besides that, I listen to audiobooks while I am doing a lot of things like driving, chores, video games, etc.

I've never thought the Mistborn books were particularly all that great to begin with. Good, for sure, but never great.

Funny because Spook is one of my favorite characters from Hero of Ages. That book to me is the best in the trilogy and a highlight for Brando.

Glad I wasn’t alone in my thoughts on Crimson Campaign. Powder Mage overall wasn’t bad, it was just eh. I finished the series but only because I had already bought all the books. It’s currently my benchmark series, if I like something more than Powder Mage I’ll keep going. If not, DNF.

I've read the first 2 Monster Hunter books and whilst I enjoyed them and gave both books 4/5, I don't feel compelled to continue. Saga of the Forgotten Warrior though.... that I'm really interested in. Anyone whose read more Monster Hunter, should I continue? 🤔

Hello there Matt! I am a huge fan of Conan and respect your opinion on Conan. Sword and Sorcery isnt everyones cup of tea but id recommend a character of Howards that was his first big success before Conan called Solomon Kane. A swashbuckling swordsman and wanderer who rights wrongs during the Elizabethan era of Europe and Africa. The stories feel more tightly packed with action and atmosphere compared to Conan in my opinion. Even has a Lovecraftian element to some of the stories since Howard and Lovecraft were writing buddies back in the day. Everyone enjoys different things. I think its worth a try. Hope you are well dude. 😊
