Sergei Nakariakov (1977) is a Russian-Israeli virtuoso trumpeter residing in Paris, France, who came to prominence in the late 1990s. He released his first CD recording in 1992 at the age of 15. He is considered one of the greatest trumpeters of all time.
Manuel de Falla (1876-1946) was a Spanish composer and pianist. He was one of Spain's most important musicians of the first half of the 20th century. He is considered one of the greatest Spanish composers of the 20th century, although the number of pieces he composed was relatively modest.
His opera 'La Vida Breve' ('The Brief Life') was written between August 1904 and March 1905, but not produced until 1913. The first performance was given at the Casino Municipal in Nice, France, on April 1st, 1913.
In 1926, the Austrian/American violinist Fritz Kreisler made an arrangement for violin and piano and named it 'Spanish Dance'.
