It's a "finish" - it shuts the counter line down and finishes with would normally be a knife in the hand I describe it as "serrada means you close....and if you close it, lock it permanently" Solo baston looks a little unusual, but when it is espada y daga it makes more sense

Shorter than the "typical" stick yes - as a rough guide its armpit to wrist. The shorter stick allows for full deployment of the weapon length at all times - thanks for watching!

We know, it's just this intro vid is intended to be as jargon free as possible- abanico, Florette, sunkete, redonda are all terms that sound confusing to non players- by avoiding them it makes it accessible. Thanks for watching
