Not only informative but also entertaining - I just love watching parts fly by - I always give a rude remark when it happens to me - Sometimes, luckily not that often a part will fly off to be never found - and then I really get noisy - tip for those who know what I mean - take very fine mesh put it in front of your vacuum cleaner nozzle and then go inch for inch through the room - with a little bit of luck you find it before you cleaned the whole room and don't forget yourself and look under your shoes.

I used to think these movements were ok, well then I found out just how bad their keyless works are and the crap date function that fails on them all the time, I have had 3 of them have major problems just in the last 3 months, well I won't use the movements or buy watches with them anymore, not when you can get a Japanese movements (NH34/NH35) that are a million times better for not much more money. still great video thanks for the video

From my own understanding talking with watchsmiths out there, the problem with the DG isn't so much the machining which is pretty good for the price point but the haphazard assembly where units are built "dry" not receiving critical lubrication and most people I know have found once rebuilt with correct lubrication can be a very very good movement.

I totally agree with you.they are good movements,but unfortunately they are not well good lubricated from the factory.

Unfortunately I can't tell you that either, but why don't you order a new 2813 movement right away. I've already broken so many 2813 movements that I didn't know much about. Now I have a lot of spare parts for them.

@@watchget1972 Thanks for the reply! In replacing that spring I've seen some do it after the cover was installed and you before installing the coverplate .... do you have any tips for installation?
@watchget1972

Hello, I would like to give you a tip. I install the spring from the calendar disc all the way to the end. So first screw on the cover plate, then put the spring in the opening of the cover plate and press in with tweezers and a screwdriver. This is how the spring can don't jump away.
