Mr Magic! Question. I am trying to tune my watch, from being 3 MINUTES A DAY SLOW. I know which lever to adjust, but I think I accidently adjusted the "other lever" once. Now my watch swings between being fast and slow, depending on the time of day. Is this because I adjusted the other lever (the "bottom" lever, kinda squared off silver fork holding the brass knob). What position should this knob be in? I assume it is the tentioner for the mainspring? Should it be fully to the right (sitting at about 3 o'clock position)? Thanks!!!

If you accidentally touch the another lever means now the wheel is off balance. Yes, the time keeping can be swinging. Not depending on the time of the day but on the way you move. Different hand position affect the balance wheel differently. I made a video how to regulate a watch. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yWaatqaLgGeBeYI Hope this helps and don't forget to let me know the result.

Update: My SNK 805 finally tore itself apart. Boo. Bonus: I'm buying a NH36 movement, and modding the watch! I'll use the weathered, beat up shell and upgrade the internals so I can hack and hand wind. Cheaper than buying a new watch, and it makes it even better! Thanks for your channel and personal help, I will stay subbed to watch your other videos!

You tell everything in such detail ! The name of every detail, every movement! Very interesting! I own such a watch, so it was very interesting to find out the device of this mechanism! I saw a couple of plastic gears and it was a little confusing. I know that in some generally reliable Orient mechanisms there are also one or two calendar gears made of plastic and some of them fail. Do you think this 7s26 mechanism has weaknesses and what are they? And how reliable is it?

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you like my videos. Most of seiko, I believe, they use breaking grease, the grease applies on the barrel wall, called S-4 which is black in color. Once the grease is expired or worn out they tend to stick together forming thick grase almost like debris.

The way I do is I don't pry up and down. I just push the blade straight in until it opened up. Some protection can be added, wrap the poly bag around the blade before you push it in.
