Different kind of Zetors were very popular where I live (Slovenia, former Yugoslavia) in the 70ties and 80ties, different versions from the legendary 2511, then 4811, 4711, 5211, 5242, 7211, 7245 while state farms had mostly Zetor Crystal 12045. They were competing with home produced IMT (Fergusson based licensed and some own developments) and Torpedoes (DEutz serie 6 license). They are still around.

Nice video, just bought a 6245. On mine it does not have the spin on oil filter, has the reuseable centrifugal oil filter you just have to clean an reinstall.

Awesome video as always! Around 32:00 you mention it not mattering if you take the fill plug before the drain plug because "what are you gonna do, not put oil in it?" I think the "pull the fill plug first" school of thought is based more so on the fact that: if the fill plug strips, just dont drain the oil. It has oil in it now, so just dont mess with it If you drain the oil first, then strip the fill plug ... well now you HAVE to get the fill plug out Regardless of preference, i can see both sides. On one hand, if the oil needs changed, then the oil needs changed ... figure it out regardless of if the fill plug strips. On the other hand, if you're just doing preventive maintenance on a machine that you dont use very frequently, and the fill plug strips ... just leave it alone, dont even drain the oil. It ain't a problem until its a problem haha Nevertheless, i love watching your videos - thanks for the awesome uploads!

You need to make sure the bushhog/pto clutch is ready to slip, sounds like its not as it seams to stop the engine it shouldn't, it should just slip the clutch. After a while without use those slip clutches seize up and need freeing.

when greasing the front axle pivert pin always take wait off axle , If dont grease dont get to the top of pin .540 PTO speed you need to to be doing around 1800 RPM engine speed or you can do damage to clutch on brush hog and gear box as well

Just joined and enjoyed the work you do. I am no audio/video expert, so please take this as a request, not a criticism. Sometimes, your voice is so low that it is difficult to hear what you're saying. Then, when the tractor is running, that volume is blasting. I'm not sure what the equipment is that you are running, but possibly there are subscribers out there that can provide some tips in balancing the audio tract. Possibly a separate mic? Your videos are great. Keep up the good work, and look forward to your next job!

@benjyth
11 ай бұрын
The original cutter likely had two wheels. There was a pipe connecting the wheel assemblies that ran through that gudgeon. Either end of the pipe was secured to a bracket that was bolted into the top of the cutter. This thing is old enough that the original gudgeon was likely replaced with a pintle hook at one point, to make it easier to get the pipe in and out. Compare it to an older Rhino TW144, where a pipe connected the two rear wheels, for something that isn't the same but will give you the right idea.

set your rpm lever so you're running 1800-2000 rpm engine speed, dont use your gas peddle. Also the clutch on your bush hog is stuck, it should never stall the tractor.

The reason why the Oil filter is Like that is The Original Models had only a Centrifugal filter, which is forever filter, but later greed took over. Yes you do need some knowledge and time, but It zero $ and all hand grease. Since the Oil filter Mount was used the Filter would be Too low, so they Turned it Up, it's in the same spot as the Centrifugal filter was. There's nothing to repair on The PTO clutch thou other than the cable. They Kind of need you to turn them off to Put the Main Lever in the Operating position. Higher HP ones called Zetor Crystal had a Full Hydraulically engaged PTO so it would also turn on Slowly and doesnt care for this issue. Its a design issue. Nothing wrong with your Tractor. The trick we do is Drop the throttle, as it is about to stall push the lever in the position you want, while Clutch lever is Up and Give it gas when its in so it doesn't Completely shut off. Aka Use Low RPM, 4 cylinders can even idle at 250-300 rpm because its only Idle is the hand throttle, if the engine is healthy. I guess 3 cyl would at 500. Which is enough for it not to Grind the PTO. Or you can use the Factory recommended Turn it off Select the PTO speed and mode. Start the tractor and use the clutch. On the Original sticker it said PTO clutch can be engaged up to 5 Minutes at Lower RPM. So Once you are in the field you can Just use the clutch. For working under the attachment of course turn off the Engine. So you don't really need to mess with the PTO Selector Lever.

Online you’re buying the pto shaft direct from the manufacturer versus buying retail at tractor supply. Sure is a big mark-up price they have.
