Hi Russ. Thanks for your stand and your sharing the gospel in this context. My first ever Word study was in conjunction with a group of believers on the word "fire". We each took a few books of the Bible and looked at contexts and reported back to the group what we found. One aspect that stood out to me was that fire is a cleansing agent. Fast forward 40 years: During my last 10-year stretch working in the waste to energy industry I became aware of the existence of many waste materials from dozens of types of sources. Many of these wastes are very toxic in nature and are a disposal problem. Putting garbage in landfills and spreading sewage sludge on our forests and fields has been the lowest (initial) cost method of "disposal". And we still practice this unfortunately. But as it turns out, they really have not been disposed of. They have only been relocated. As an example: My colleagues in Germany and most of the western EU realized a long time ago that the ruin of their surface waters including much of the Baltic and North seas was caused by rampant land application of sewage sludge. Their solution? HEAT! They began to burn their sludges in furnaces which operate at over 1000 degrees C, or 1832 F. I did a study where I compiled destruction temperatures of industrial chemical compounds, drugs , pathogens etc and ALL of them get destroyed at well below this temperature. We practice this today all over the world. The ash from these systems can be further cleansed of heavy metals through another process involving heat. For an interesting video on YT, search for Outotec, sludge and Zurich and the video should be the first one. In summary, yes, I have witnessed that it will take some HEAT to cleanse and rearrange things to their restored form. God bless you.

Nope. The boundaries if Israel are from the Euphrates to the Nile and the millennial temple will be on Mount Zion. Basic scripture precludes the reassembling of Pangea.

I can't agree with his premises when he cites old findings as fact. He misses important facts that wouldn't fit with his theory. I believe there was a worldwide flood. But I don't put God in the small box he has limited Him to be in.

@@PD-iu9bnHe has his premise and only puts out what suits him. Ask yourself a question. If God is everlasting, always existing, what has He been doing all this time? He only created this universe for a 6,000 year period? All of His knowledge, omniscience,He just did this one thing? That certainly puts God in man's little box. I think there was a worldwide flood. I don't argue his positions, but there are things that he specifically picks. I think we will find out how much more there is when we go home. I can't wait.

@@nanadeborah8717 Without proving giving a specific example of what you mean, it sounds like your issue is not with Russ Miller but with the concept of God being eternal. It would appear that you think of God’s eternality as that He’s existed along a timeline forever. So actually wouldn’t it be you who is putting God in a box? The box of time? God is outside of time, and when He spoke creation into being He also created time. This idea that “God’s been around forever and so He must have done other things before He created our universe” assumes God is bound by time. The better way to think about it is that God Himself is the ULTIMATE reality and has no beginning and no end, but we are His creation and we had a beginning, and the timeline that we exist in also had a beginning. Time itself is a physical dimension. You will never hear a physicist say “time” in an academic sense, rather they will refer to it as ‘space-time’. Time and space are intrinsic to one another. Space is the length, width and height of the physical world. They each need the other in order to exist. And space needs time in order to exists while conversely time cannot exist without physical space. God is above and outside all of this, but you and I are bound to it and so even the way we think about God is subject to the limitations our existence in time and space puts on us, not to mention our fallen, sinful minds just can’t understand Him fully. So don’t fall into the trap of putting God in the box of space and time.
