Hi! I think you should have some experience of working with trees and understanding some algorithms that on work them. Apart from that, I don't think you need any specific skills. That being said, in this video, I also spend a lot of time figuring things out and refactoring code, so if you just want to know some fancy tree algorithms, there are better-structured and more educational videos out there. This is very specific to implementing recursive structural types in a programming language
