Thank you SO MUCH! I am in Indiana, (Eastern) but I am doing on line school in Utah (Mountain!) so for the few things that are "live," this is a lifesaver.

Great video! I am creating a itinerary for my hoilday to Japan. If I create a event with a the Japan time zone while in the UK, when I land in japan will the event be in accordance to Japan time?

Great question! I think yes it should still show as Japan time. You could go into your calendar settings when you arrive & change your primary time zone to Japan so it shows the local time to your location if that helps. Have a great holiday :)

Hi. Thank you for the tips. I have a doubt. My actual time zone is in Berlin and I create an event that will be held in Panama time. My event is Sept 7 at 6pm (Panama time), but in my Home calendar appears on Sept 8 at 1am. What is confusing is that on Sept 7 I dont have that meeting register...There is a way that this appears on My calendar on Sept 7 and not the 8? If on Sept 7 I am in Panama this will switch automatically? I guess the invitation arrives to the proper time to the guests... ?

Hi, you've created the event in Panama time which is fine, that time is automatically shown in whatever time zone guests are located in - which is why your calendar is showing it as 1am on 8th (which is Berlin time). If you go into your Settings & change your Primary time zone to EST (Panama), you will see the event is now shown at 6pm on the 7th. Hope that helps :)

hi, im trying to schedule meetings for my colleagues . I am currently in another country and not participating the conference which will be held in another country. When i use the calendar , should i use the time zone of the country where the meeting is to be held before sending invites? participants are in different countries now but will travel to the same city during the week of the meetings. When they arrive they should see the correct local time of the meeting on the location.

Hi there, when you create the event, click on the Time zone button next to where you add in the event times and choose the time zone of the country where the meeting is going to be held. This will show in all calendars as the actual time in the meeting's country regardless of which country they are currently in. Hope that helps :)

Great tutorial, @SharonsTutorials! It would be nice if Google Calendar allowed users to specify a timezone for each guest, enabling them to see their local time in real-time. This feature would greatly assist in planning meetings more effectively, especially when dealing with multiple members across various time zones but for now the closet I could get to this is the world clock.

My issue is that when I'm invited to an event in a different time zone and save it to my calendar, the time doesn't change to my time zone. So I'm trying to sign in for an event 2 hours early. Is this because the event creator didn't do the settings right? Or do I need to do something on my end to convert to my time zone?

Hi Chris, when you accept the calendar invite it should automatically show it in your calendar at your local time, even if you are in a different time zone to the event creator. It may be worth going into your calendar settings & double checking that your primary time zone is set to your current location. That's the only reason I can think of why it's not working properly - hope that helps!

Please make a video showing how to create a 7am event that does NOT change for me when I move across time zones. I want to wake up at 7am in ALL time zones. Google Calendar is so frustrating. I have to go REcreate recurring events every time I cross a time zone ( every 90 days)

Hi there, if you go into your calendar settings on desktop, in the Time zone section uncheck the box next to where it say "Ask to update my primary time zone to current location" - that *should* keep the time at whatever your primary time zone is set to. On your phone - go into calendar settings then select General and toggle OFF "Use device's time zone". I'm hoping one of those works for you :)
