Most engines need to be set at 1mm carb opening. I find using a pin gauge works well to set that gap perfectly perfect. For so long I kept messing with idle etc and it was that my carb gap was off a little.

I have two points to add. 1. This elastic failsafe is amazing, and is to be used in conjunction with your digital radio failsafe. 2. Elastic is better than spring, as spring can cut your carb boot and cause an air leak. 3. Nitro will destroy a rubber elastic so change them before they fail. 4. You need one more elastic that ends at the LSN. That way if your linkage fails (or the screw you used to replace the grub screw fails) your carb will still close. Amazing video. Thank you

I never use a digital failsafe.

Sorry if you’ve posted this somewhere before but why not use the digital one?

Michael Inzitari because if you turn a failsafe on it might turn on when it doesn’t need to. And you have just introduced another way to dnf.

Old video and a good one! But wouldn't a throttle return spring on the carb be the same as rubberbands? It just pulls from the high speed needle shaft to the front of the carb instead of the air filter hole to the throttle linkage? Seems easier to use the actual spring for what's its made for?

Got a question on the collar set screw by the spring? How far out or in should I put it? Should it be right next to the spring?

Can you have to many rubber bands ? And lefty is the best. Lol 👍 P.s. instead of lefty giving you a kick in the balls, when you reach 5,000 subscribers, how about a give away?
@invisiblespeedrc

What should I give away? Just put enough to close the throttle.

A lot of the problems in this world exist because people in positions of power and influence do not share their opinions. I am not one of those people with a lot of power and influence, but I don't want to be a part of the problem no matter how small I am.
