My father used to run the Miami Wilbert Vault.he worked there over forty years. When I worked there in 1972, My dad gave me all the things that nobody wanted to do. I made $2.00 an hour but I was on Summer break and 13 years old. I can remember going with my dad to the grave yard, when I was probably about six. He would drop the box in the ground and then we would wait in the back under the trees. After the funeral we would put the lid on the vault. We definitely didn’t have a setup like that. Back then everyone got buried so I would say between ten and fifteen boxes went out daily. We would load three trucks at the end of the day and the drivers would deliver them all over South Florida, the next morning.

If you wonder why it costs so much, this is part of the reason why. Just look at that equipment and labor.
