NaNoWriMo is a great way to get into writing a novel, but easily becomes a distraction from other goals. I had a similar experience with NaNo a few years ago. I would stop working on my WIP to start a different project for NaNo for two to three months. Then only to stop writing that novel in December. You got this. If something is scary it is usually the right direction to go.

Hi Sara! It's nice that you're giving yourself space to ground yourself and reprioritize. It's something we should all do from time to time to make sure we are prioritizing what's important to us instead of continuing a draining routine into perpetuity. Also, I love that you're starting a running routine. I love running myself, and it's so easy to catch the bug. Just be careful-- running every day as a beginner makes it very easy to get injured. Happy running! For podcasts, I usually listen on Spotify but will occasionally watch on youtube for bigger guests.

I write in either word and one drive saves as I am writing or I use Scrivener which backups my work on one drive. That changed my life no more thinking about backing up my work.

Really excellent video! I enjoy these chatty-style vlogs the most. I also gave up on NaNoWriMo this year, just because it wasn't serving me at this moment in time, and I think that being kind to yourself should come before any other goal, so good for you!

It made me so happy watching you dream big while setting goals but also somehow having it feel realistic at the same time. It is insane to me that 100k subscribers in 3 years could in any way be feasible but maybe I just need to dream a little bigger.

Love this video and love that you want to focus more on KZitem as for the past few months you’re the KZitemr I wait for releasing! (I don’t like shorts) Podcasts I tend to listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Don’t really watch them. Also I love you’re “in 3s” goal setting. Contemplating doing some 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months and 3 years goal setting now. Interesting!

Great video! I feel like I needed it. Seeing you reground yourself and reprioritize your goals has made me want to do the same. I feel like I've just been floating for a while now, still working on my goals but not with the amount of focus that I'd like. I wrote down my next steps to getting published today which felt really good. Thank you for this! Also I usually listen to podcasts on apple podcasts, and I'm not sure what you're thinking for yours but I'm excited anyway!

When you feel your book is ready, I'd suggest giving yourself a deadline, and if it isn't picked up by a publisher, I'd self-publish. You already have a good following, and by then you'll have even more. That would be a reason for a publisher to pick you up, too, of course. :) I like the 3 day, 3 month, 3 year goal idea.

@@SaraLubratt no idea, another host did the production end, i was more the research and comedic relief. It did the analytics (DL numbers), uploaded it to multiple platforms and also let us drop on an intro and outro to the front and back end. How often do you set and reflect on your goals?
@SaraLubratt
Жыл бұрын
Whenever I feel like I need a reset is when I set goals. I try to reflect on my goals and my progress a little bit every day by keeping tack of my little wins and progress but in larger portions every couple weeks or at least every month
